« It All Started in Tehran (REQUIRED READING) | Main | Bush Re-elected! (UPDATED) »

Election 2004. (GET OUT AND VOTE!)
If you have not yet voted, make sure you do! Wouldn't it be nice if Iranian citizens were allowed to vote for candidates other than ultra-conservative clerics who finance terrorist activities throughout Iraq and are determined to produce nuclear weaponry??
The Wall Street Journal has a piece today by Gerald F. Seib and Carla Anne Robbins that cites a Luntz poll from earlier this year in which Americans ranked the regime in Iran as the greatest threat.
Whoever the next President may be, it is imperative that he focus on the regime in Iran and the ways in which the current clerical dicatorship relates to the overall struggle for freedom across the Middle East, the Mullah's overwhelmingly influential and counterproductive hand in Iraq, and the regime's continued march towards nukes.
If Kerry is elected, he will be pressured to explain how pursuing the European methodology of appeasement and carrots will free the people of the region from the bonds of dicatorship as well as make the American people safer. Thus far, the European effort has been marked by zero progress (for the free world, liberty and human rights) and has actually aided the Mullahs by buying them time to continue their nuclear project in exchange for stronger trade and economic ties with many European nations.
If Bush is re-elected he will be expected to explain how America will pursue the so often talked about vision of freedom. Bush will also be pressured to once and for all backup all the rhetoric about supporting the Iranian people (The most Pro-American population in the Middle East) with sound political, economic and military support as needed by the Iranian people and exile groups in an effort to finally free Iran.
When fighting the War on Terror, maintainenance of the status quo will simply not be enough and will ultimately lead to failure. Victory will be achieved by the hands of the people, so we must ally ourselves with "the people" at every level!
