Aftabeh Yazd Newspaper confesses to people's disregard for the regime's fake and flashy elections
Iran Press News: Another regime-backed newspaper, Aftabeh Yazd (The Yazd Sun), in an article today, confessed to people's utter disregard and apathy toward the fake and flashy June elections.

The newspaper's editorial, entitled "A simple but ambiguous step" states: "While only 44 days remain to the elections, the fervor of the elections in undetectable." The editorials continues: "This is while the most well-known "candidates" and probable nominees have presented themselves to the voters and have somewhat communicated their designs as well."

Aftabeh Yazd added: "Of course some of the politically active and their supporting groups (Aftabeh Yazd here is referring to the Mullahs and not the activists of the opposition!) , reject voter apathy and others are worried about the decline in people's participation; both present different rationales for this argument. However most believe that if voters are not confident in the effect of their votes, we will be faced with critical decline."
