Inviting Iranian American Community To Support For Rally Against Islamofascism Day (R.A.I.D.)
Wednesday, February 1, 2006

An open letter to the Iranian community:

It is with great respect and compassion I address you in the Iranian community. Although I am not of an Iranian descent, I care deeply for the people of the Persian community.

As President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad continues to pursue an agenda marked by extremist views in an oppressive regime, the attention of the international community begins to focus on the current government of Iran. President Ahmadinejad's actions will not bring suffering upon the leadership of Iran; his actions will only bring suffering to the Iranian people. Many Iranian citizens may feel a false sense of comfort as they believe that they may not be personally affected by the aggressive course of action taken by the international community in the near future. This belief can lead down a road of immense hardships and pain when such people are faced with the contrary harsh reality at the end. My sincere wish is for the Iranian people to know freedom, and to achieve their freedom without the loss of precious life. Persians all around the world must unite against the current extremist fascist philosophy being inflicted upon your Persian brethren in the Islamic Republic of Iran. !

I ask you, the Iranian community, to band together and unite with the United American Committee against extremism. I invite you to join in a National Rally Against Islamofascism Day on February 1st 2006 so the world may stand up to send a clear message to the extremist enemies of the Muslims people, and of all other people around the world who cherish freedom. The terrorist enemies will not be defeated if the citizens of all nations remain silent. There are many rallies planned on February 1st, including one at Ground Zero in New York at 1:00PM and one in front of the Federal Building in West Los Angeles at 5:00PM. Others will include several international locations as well as in the USA. All locations are listed on our website www.unitedamericancommittee.org/rally.htm

Those people in areas where a rally will not be taking place are encouraged to band together and form a rally on any busy street corner in their community. We must all stand united, and send a clear message to the world that the common people are standing up against extremism. May our efforts give us the reward of freedom and liberty for all.

Thank you,

Jesse Petrilla

Participate in "February 1st" rallies against
Islamo-Fascism

SMCCDI (Urgent Action Call)
January 24, 2006

Dear Iranians, Dear Americans, Dear Iranian-Americans, Dear
Freedom Lovers,

Most Middle-Easterners and Iranians have been long among
the first victims of Islamo-Fachism.

Iranians for their part have shown their deep rejection of
the Islamic republic regime, at many occasions, by
boycotting successive sham elections or by demonstrating,
striking or some even resorting to violence at the price of
their lives and due to total exasperation. Iranians in
their vast majority have turned their backs to the totality
of the theocratic regime and the degree of popular
rejection is to the point that even some absconded former
officials, living now in exile, are not trusted by the
masses.

No one, except a few demagogues located mainly abroad, can
claim anymore that the Islamic republic regime has any kind
of popularity or legitimacy. The main reasons that this
antiquated system of governance is still standing in power
is due to the use of force, a lack of real commitment from
the world to support Iranians for the choice of a clean and
clear secular political frame, and the lack of a trusted
unified opposition abroad.

Americans and Europeans who were standing idle in front of
the rise of Islamo-faschism have started to realize its
real dangers and threats posed to the world. This
awareness of the western world came to fruition as a result
of an increase of the Islamist terrorism in the world,
beginning with the tragedy of September 11, 2000, and
attacks made in Bali, Madrid, London and elsewhere.

Europeans who were known for their apathy due to closing
their eyes and making deals with tyrannical and terrorist
regime's, such as the Islamic republic, are now suddenly
waking up and understanding Mao-Tse-Toung's maybe only
valid claim that "Colonial Powers would sell the cord which
can be use to hang themselves".

The latest comments made by Jacques Chirac, the French
President, on the "readiness of France to use any type of
conventional or non-conventional arms against states
sponsoring terrorism" can be qualified as an example of
such sudden awakening and as part of its roots. It should
be noted that Chirac himself was involved, in early 90s, in
freeing terrorists in exchange for the Islamic Republic's
juicy oil and industrial contracts. His new stance can be
qualified as a positive step while Iranians will always
remember how Chirac's Administration freed the Islamist
terrorists who were involved in the murder of the late Dr.
Shahpoor Bakhtiar and several other dissidents.

The US for its part has been a relatively more trusted ally
of the Iranian people and less involved in deal-making with
the Islamic Republic. However, lobbyist groups and infamous
apologists of the clerical regime (such as Hooshang
Amir-Ahmadi and Mehranguiz Kar of the self called "American
Iranian Council" (AIC), Titra Parsi of the self proclaimed
"National Iranian American Council" (NIAC), and the worst
of all, Shirin Ebadi who is the opportunist Noble Peace
Prize recipient) are looking to legitimize the Islamic
regime by calling for the establishment of relations
between Washington and Tehran.

Helped by some so-called American Liberal circles and part
of the media, they're intending to resume what was left of
their immoral agenda with the victory of the Bush
Administration in 2000. The possibility of sanctions
against the regime has even boosted their activities and
forced them to show their true intentions of trying to save
the Islamic Republic.

It's in reaction to such an immoral and illegitimate agenda
that we must all mobilize as it is this agenda which is
trying to put a lid on the real aspiration of Iranians for
total democratic regime change in Iran and an end to the
life of the Islamic regime via the careful use of the
current open window of international attention.

We must use any possible occasion to echo the outcry of
Iranian people and all those rejecting Islamo-Faschism by
calling for an end of theocratic rule in Iran!!! Any
option, other than military, must be supported and used for
freeing Iran and Iranians from the yoke of tyranny and
terror!

In that line we must participate in any American or
European groups' actions which are targeting the root of
our misery, no matter what other internal or additional
agenda these groups might have!!

Our agenda is clear!!!

We want an end to the totality of the Islamic regime by
staying on our principle that such a change should be only
for bringing down the Islamic Republic regime by the hands
of Iranians only and without endorsing any military
action!!!

This can be achieved by boycotting the Islamic regime's
oil, by freezing Iran's assets and those of the regime's
leaders which were looted on the back of Iranians, and by
helping genuine and trusted Iranian opponents (not the
usual mistrusted old horses and opportunists) to step in
and create a unified, trusted platform that can respond to
the aspirations of this huge mass which is the younger
generation of Iran.

Dear Iranians, Dear Americans, Dear Iranian-Americans, Dear
Freedom Lovers,

The time has come that we must move forward and use all our
power and every open window of opportunity while staying
true to our principles!

A group named "United American Committee" (UAC) has
scheduled a major and nationwide rally in the USA.
http://www.unitedamericancommittee.org/
The major motif of the action is to "Protest against
Islamo-Facshism" and it is to take place on "February 1,
2006", in some major American cities. The group's charter
is stating that UAC's goal is "to promote awareness of
threats which face America from within its very own
borders, primarily focusing on Islamic extremism in
America." It is adding that the movement is intended "to
promote citizen involvement in national security issues,
and to awaken Washington on the issue of Islamic
extremism."

While the UAC's stated goal might seem to some as having
the purpose of an internal American debate or some
right-wing agenda, in reality, no one can claim that
Islamo-Faschism is not a real threat and source of tyranny
and terror. That's why we're calling on each of you to
seize the occasion and participate in some of the following
UAC's demonstrations of "February 1st" that we do
co-sponsor hereby.

These co-sponsored rallies, where we'll be also present,
are as follows:

1) CALIFORNIA:
Los Angeles, In front of the federal Building, located at
11000 Wilshire Boulevard; Time: 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM

2) NEW YORK:
New York City, at the World Trade Center - Ground Zero;
Time: 1:00 PM

3) TEXAS:
- Dallas (Addison), at the Intersection of Beltline and
Addison; Time: 4:30PM
- Houston, at the Tranquility Park located between Walker
and Rusk Sts; Time: 12:00 PM

Remember that your participation would''t mean the
acceptance of any group's total agenda, but it would be a
clear show of support for the call to oppose
Islamo-faschism and the Iranians' aspiration for the
peaceful liberation of Iran!!

In that line, the SMCCDI, the INSP (Iran's National Secular
Party), and the "Alliance of Iranians" (Texas) are
participating in some of the February 1st rallies against
Islamo-Faschism. Our members and supporters will also be
carrying placards stating "End the Islamic Republic in
Iran!", "No to Theocracy, Yes to Secular Democracy!",
"Democratic Regime Change in Iran!", "Respect Iran's
Territorial Integrity", "Down with Islamo-Faschism".

We will also carry Iran's only legitimate flag which is the
"Lion & Sun", which has been banned by the clerical
regime!!
http://daneshjoo.org/article/publish/article_2376.shtml
May it be raised again on the Damavand pick, in all Iran's
current provinces and on all the Iranian islands of the
eternal Persian Gulf!

We're looking to shake the hand of each of you, on February
1st, and are calling on those in Europe to seize the
occasion and organize the same type of action in the cities
of their residence!!

Please spread this message and ask your friends, relatives
and co-workers to participate as well!

United we stand!
Divided we fall!

Islamofascist Solidarity Day
TODAY'S COLUMNIST

The Washington Times
By Joel Himelfarb
January 23, 2006

http://www.washingtontimes.com/op-ed/20060122-111620-8570r.htm

Picture Berlin in late 1939 -- a meeting between Adolf Hitler and Hideki Tojo, at which the German and Japanese strongmen declare their contempt for FDR and Churchill, their determination to hang on to their conquests in Czechslovakia, Poland and China, and voice their disdain for resolutions passed by the League of Nations. Picture Tojo beaming as he meets with a procession of German Brownshirts, members of the Romanian Iron Guard, Haj Amin al-Husseini, the Grand Mufti of Palestine and other neo-Nazi and Japanese collaborators, all of them mouthing platitudes about fascist "solidarity."
That would be roughly analogous to what took place in Damascus on Thursday and Friday, when Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad visited Syria for meetings with President Bashar Assad and a veritable who's who of local terrorist organizations. With the fall of Saddam Hussein and Libyan boss Moammar Gadhafi's decision to relinquish his weapons of mass destruction, Iran and Syria are arguably the region's only remaining rogue states today: Syria for its sponsorship of terrorism and its role in the murder of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafiq Hariri and Iran for its refusal to come clean about its nuclear program and its own role in sponsoring terror. With Mr. Ahmadinejad at his side, Mr. Assad endorsed Iran's defiance over its nuclear program and its refusal to cooperate with the International Atomic Energy Agency and its inspectors.
One of the terrorist leaders who met with Mr. Ahmadinejad was Ramadan Abdullah Shallah, the former University of South Florida professor who has now served for more than a decade as the head of Palestinian Islamic Jihad. The day before Mr. Shallah met with Mr. Ahmadinejad in Damascus, a suicide bomber affiliated with Mr. Shallah's organization detonated a bomb in Tel Aviv which wounded more than 20 Israelis. Israeli Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz charged that Iran had funded the attack, while operational orders for the bomber were issued from PIJ headquarters in Damascus to operatives in the West Bank city of Nablus.
Also present at the meeting with Mr. Ahmadinejad, according to Maher al-Taher, who heads the Damascus-based PFLP, were Hamas leader Khaled Meshal and Ahmed Jibril, leader of the PFLP-GC. According to Mr. Taher, the assembled terrorists "discussed the issue of pressure against Syria, Iran and Lebanon and confirmed the need to form a front that groups all the forces that opposes (sic) the Zionist-American schemes in the region."
It would be easy to dismiss all of this as nothing more than the empty rhetoric and idle posturing of thugs. But that would be a dangerous mistake. The terrorist parley that occurred in Damascus last week is directed primarily at the United States, Israel and the European democracies: in particular the "European Union 3" -- Britain, France and Germany -- who have spearheaded the failed effort to negotiate a settlement to the dispute over Tehran's nuclear weapons program. It sends Washington, the Europeans and Israel a warning about the consequences of supporting economic sanctions or even military action against Iran or its junior axis partner in Syria.
In fact, this is nothing new. Time and again during the past few years, Iran and Syria have behaved in ways that should be seen at least in part as a warning of what is in store for anyone who challenges them.
Syria, of course, is the main transit point for terrorist insurgents crossing into Iraq, and Iran is also active in working to sabotage efforts to build a new Iraq. We know that Tehran and Damascus have, at various times harbored Abu Musab Zarqawi. The Lebanese terrorist group Hezbollah (which could not not operate without the financial backing, weapons and logistical support it receives from Iran and Syria) has been training and smuggling weapons to Palestinian terrorists in the West Bank and Gaza. Local terrorist organizations such as Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad also get their support from Iran and Syria.
And this is just a partial list of what has occurred during a time when Tehran presumably lacked nuclear weapons. Once Iran crosses this threshold and is able to add more atomic weapons to its arsenal and perfect the warheads necessary to carry them to their targets, its ability (and likely that of Syria) to menace its neighbors and deter other nations from responding grows exponentially.
Iran and its terrorist proxies realize this, and Hamas has threatened to step up attacks on Israel if the Jewish state attempts to target Iranian nuclear sites. "If we assume that Iran has a military nuclear program, what is wrong with that?," Hamas's Mr. Meshal said while visiting Tehran last month. He vowed that Hamas would defend Iran's "right" to a nuclear weapon, and praised Mr. Ahmadinejad's comments calling the Holocaust a myth.
Meanwhile, trivialization and denial of the Holocaust appears to be on its way to becoming a regular feature of Iranian public discourse. On Jan. 5, for example, Iran's Channel 2 ran a panel discussion suggesting that "Zionist leaders" have committed Holocaust-like crimes of their own against the Palestinians. (For more information, see www.memri.org).
This combination of Islamofascist ideology, atomic weapons and terrorism has the potential to make the world a much more dangerous place in the very near future.

Message from UAC Founder Jesse Petrilla

We are only one week away from the National Rally Against Islamofascism Day next Wednesday February 1st. I encourage each and every concerned citizen to attend a rally if one is in their area, many new locations have been added. For those who will be in southern California, I will be at the 11000 Wilshire Rally in West Los Angeles from 4:30 to 6:00 PM and strongly encourage you to attend. We have top notch speakers lined up, including activist Ted Hayes, Larry Greenfield with the Republican Jewish Coalition, a top member of the Coptic Christian society, as well as others. Our speakers are from all political and ethnic backgrounds, and this is a non-partisan event. It will be grassroots activism at its finest, with the sound system being a bullhorn reminiscent of that day shortly after September 11th when our president addressed the nation in the same way. For those who will be attending any of the other now

19 rallies against Islamofascism being held across the nation, remember to keep your signs and banners positive, with a clear message against Islamic extremism and terrorism, and in support of our troops and law enforcement who keep us safe in the war on terror. Below are all current rallies and times, with several new locations recently added. I thank you for taking the time to stand up on Feb 1 against the Islamic extremist threat which faces our world.

Best,
Jesse Petrilla

The National Rally Against Islamofascism Day held yesterday at twenty one locations across the nation was a great success!

Thanks to all who have submitted photos already of rallies which they attended. We have uploaded some photographs of yesterday's rallies for your viewing. We ask that you please send us your pictures if you have any photographs that you took if you attended one of the rallies. Please send them to info@unitedamericancommittee.org or if you have a server or way to upload them to a location please send us the links.

THE PHOTOS:

If you only look at one photograph from yesterday's rally, you must see the protesters which met us at Ground Zero in New York City. They were chanting the name of Osama Bin Laden and yelling that Islamic law will replace democracy in America, keep in mind this was at Ground Zero and just shows why the UAC must exist:

LOL!, I heard a couple guys escaped from the mental ward, and were seen running around promoting Bin Ladin for president in 2008.

Nice job catching them on film.

From what I've seen at their site, the UAC rally went well, and fortunately remained peaceful (as far as I know).

Congratulations to them.

Iranians participate in anti Islamo-Fascism rallies in the
US

SMCCDI (Information Service)
February 2, 2006

Dozens of Iranians responded positively to the SMCCDI and
"Iran National Secular Party" (INSP) calls by
participating, yesterday, in some of the anti
Islamo-Fascism rallies organized by the "United American
Committee" (UAC).

SMCCDI and INSP's members and supporters participated in
the New York, Dallas and Los Angeles' UAC rallies in order
to show the deep rejection of Islamism, Jihadism and
tyranny which have plunged Iran into a deepening
catastrophic situation.

A floral crown was deposed "On behalf of the People of
Iran", by SMCCDI and INSP, under the Memorial erected, at
Ground Zero in New York, in the memory of thousands of
victims of the Tragedy of September 11th. It was formed by
several Green, Red and White with Gold contour flowers.
These colors represent the Iranian People's only legitimate
flag which is composed by a Green, a White and a Red color
strips with a Gold color Lion & Sun emblem on the White
strip.

The floral crown, which was initially carried by Cyrus
Sanati - a SMCCDI and INSP member -, created a deep emotion
among many New Yorkers and especially between members of
the NYPD present at the event. Two of the city's police
force members, who had lost many colleagues on September
11th, raised the floral crown in order to mark the existing
solidarity among two nations which have been both
victimized by Islamo-Fascists.

In Dallas, tens of members and supporters, including Aryo
B. Pirouznia and Ali Salehi, joined several American
protesters in order to condemn terrorism and the Human
Rights Abuses in Iran. They called for the world's moral
support of Iranians who are seeking to free themselves from
the yoke of the terrorist and tyrannical Islamic republic
regime.

Pirouznia, the SMCCDI Coordinator and INSP's Chairman,
called also for a strict control of the financial
activities of Islamist centers located in the US and
especially in Irving and Richardson. He denounced the
existence of the picture of Rooh-Ollah Khomeini -the
founder of Islamic republic - in the office of the Irving
Mosque's Imam. The latter is suspected to have close
contacts with some influential clerics in Iran.

Salehi, the INSP President, asked from the US
Administration to keep the pressure on the Islamic regime
and its economic allies.

In Los Angeles, several members, such as, Bahram Shaygan
and Mona Etemadi carried the "Lion & Sun" flag, which is
banned by the Islamic republic regime, and called for a
closure of some US based centers and PACs which are trying
to legitimize the Islamic republic regime.

Slogans calling for "Human Rights in Iran", "Democracy for
Iran" and "Down with Islamic Republic" were shouted by
members and many participants.

SMCCDI and INSP co-sponsored the UAC rallies, of February
1st, due to the fact that Iranians have been among the
first and oldest victims of Islamist terror and tyranny and
that they feel a deep solidarity with the victimized
American People and understand their concerns.
