New ideas, innovations and adding pressure on the free world political system based on facts and real data are the key to enhance any system and pushing the reasonable system to move in the right direction.
We the freedom-loving people of the world should not think whether the professional politicians or governments are listening to good ideas or not or current inefficient UN leadership can act or not, or what is the xyz agenda, we should think about what the freedom-loving people of the world want and work hard to make it possible ……. The following is an example and direction to consider, this is a possible response or recommendation to the cry of freedom loving women of Iran requests and demands from ActivistChat, this is for review by fellow members and enhancements.

The Case Of Freedom-Loving Iranian Women Plea (Biggest Victims of Islamofascist ) To Arm and Train For Self Defense Against Islamofascist Mullahs and Liberation Of Their Homeland

To: All Freedom-Loving Compatriots (Right, Left and Center)

This is the case for Arming and Training Freedom-Loving Iranian Women and Men for self defense against Islamofascist Mullahs or supporting to send massive International Peace keepers to Iran for protecting the Freedom and Freedom-loving Iranian women to avoid another genocide by IslamoFacists who talk and act like Hitler and the facts are as follows:

These Islamofascist criminals have no shame and don’t give a hoot to world outcry and condemnation. Nonetheless it is our duty as humans not to remain silent and we the people should take actions to stop Islamofascists NOW.

Iranian Women Cases As The Biggest Victims of Islamofascist (Tip Of Iceberg)
- Iranian police and plainclothes agents yesterday charged a peaceful assembly of women’s rights activists in Tehran and beat hundreds of women and men who had gathered to commemorate International Women’s Day, Human Rights Watch said today. The attack took place shortly after participants in the celebration assembled at Tehran’s Daneshjoo Park at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, March 8 2006.
“The Iranian authorities marked International Women’s Day by attacking hundreds of people who had peacefully assembled to honor women’s rights,” said Joe Stork, deputy Middle East director at Human Rights Watch. “Once again, Iran’s government has signaled that it is ready to use violence to suppress peaceful public assembly of any sort.” Among those present at the gathering was Simin Behbahani, a renowned Iranian poet. According to an eyewitness, “Behbahani was beaten with a baton, and when people protested that she is in her 70s and she can barely see, the security officer kicked her several times and continued to hit her with his baton.” ( http://activistchat.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=27676#27676 )

- 17-year-old Nazanin was sentenced to death for protecting her chastity against three rapists who attacked her on April 20th, 2005 [on the Akbarabad road that leads to the Tehran suburb of Karadj], with a knife. She stabbed one of her assailants, named Youssef, in self-defense; he was stabbed in the heart and later died in the hospital. The misogynist regime of the Mullahs that has ruthlessly violated the rights of all girls and women in Iran since it's inception in 1979 continues to savagely punish (either by public execution or stoning to death) all women for defending themselves.
During Nazanin's court hearing, onlookers who witnessed the attack, confirmed Nazanin's claims against her assailants; the penal court, branch 71 decided however that the death sentence must be imposed. In her last court hearing, Nazanin said: "I only wanted to defend myself and protect my family's reputation and good name." One of the Mullah judges replied: "How could you murder a young man? We will teach you a lesson so that the likes of your filthy whores cannot raise a hand on men ever again."
Later it turned out that her attackers were in fact Basijis (a mobilization force created by Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini; they are extremely Radical militia - overseen and supported by Khamenei and Ahmadinejad) from Karadj. 17-year-old Brave Iranian ( http://activistchat.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=7542 )

- 7 years ago, Ms. Parvaneh Forouhar killed by knife in her home.
the knife of islamic republic Mafia silenced the voices of two of Iran’s noble children: " Dariush and Parvaneh Forouhar. But, it did not silence the aspiration of them for democracy, liberty, justice, and freedom. It not only did not silence, but rejuvenated the voices of Iranians rising to the aspiration of the Frouhars. Knives cut flesh, but cannot cut aspirations. Knives silence individuals, but cannot silence a nation. Knives shorten lives, but prolong resolve of the nation. Those who lowered their knives in the hearts of the Frouhars saw the spill of their blood writing on the soil of our nation: Victory Will Be Ours! The enemies of our country unjustly ruling Iran for two decades are doomed! That’s what that blood said! And that’s what the murderers of islamic republic should take notice of!"

- Professor Homa Darabi MD was one of the casualties of this Reign of Islamic Terror. She was a medical doctor specializing in pediatrics, general psychiatry, and child and adolescent psychiatry, and was licensed to practice medicine in New Jersey, New York, and California. In 1990, she was fired from her position as a professor at the School of Medicine at Tehran University due to her non compliance to the Islamic rules of Hijab (Covering up of Women). When a 16 year old girl was shot to death in Northern Tehran for wearing lipstick about a month prior to her death, Dr. Darabi could no longer handle the way women were being treated in Iran, she finally decided to protest the oppression of women by setting herself on fire in a crowded square in northern Tehran, on February 21, 1994. Her last cry was
Death to Tyranny
Long Live Liberty
Long Live Iran

Public Factual Statements By Top US Administration and Officials In Support of FREE IRAN:

President Bush wrote:

The international community is also speaking with one voice to the radical regime in Tehran. Iran is a nation held hostage by a small clerical elite that is isolating and repressing its people, and denying them basic liberties and human rights. The Iranian regime sponsors terrorists and is actively working to expand its influence in the region. The Iranian regime has advocated the destruction of our ally, Israel. And the Iranian regime is defying the world with its ambitions for nuclear weapons.
America will continue to rally the world to confront these threats, and Iran's aggressive behavior and pursuit of nuclear weapons is increasing its international isolation. When Iran's case was brought before the IAEA earlier this month, 27 nations voted against Iran, including Russia and China and India and Brazil and Sri Lanka and Egypt and Yemen. The only nations to support Iran were Syria, Cuba, and Venezuela. Now Iran's case will be taken up to the U.N. Security Council. The free world is sending the regime in Tehran a clear message: We're not going to allow Iran to have nuclear weapons.

The growing demand for democratic governance reflects a recognition that the best guarantor of human rights is a thriving democracy with transparent, accountable institutions of government, equal rights under the rule of law, a robust civil society, political pluralism and independent media," she said.

In the 2005 US Dept. of State country report on human right referencing the UN General Assembly resolution on December 16, the following human rights problems were reported:

2. Iranian people can decide about Nuclear Energy, Nuclear Research and Atomic Bomb after the regime change when they have established stable secular democracy and FREE society until then Iran should avoid any kind of Nuclear research program, resulting to acquire Atomic Bomb, under Islamist regime control.

3. Territorial integrity and national sovereignty of Iran.

6. Free, open and democratic referendum to elect the type of the new Government of Iran in the post-IRI era.

7. Minimum standard of living for all citizens of Iran and equal opportunity for all citizens to benefit from country's national wealth.

8. To avoid nuclear war, our message to Iranian people inside Iran: General Strike Now, our message to Security Forces (Police, Pasdaran and Military) must act now for regime change and replacing it with Free society and Secular Democracy. The Iranian people have already spoken by boycotting Elections. The Armed forces must choose between defending and serving the people or serving Mullahs. This is up to armed and security forces to choose between SHAME and HONOR, serving Mullahs or their Sisters, Brothers, Fathers & Mothers who pay their salary.
To avoid war Iranian people of all ages do not have any choice other than be prepared to fight to free their homeland from Viruses of Iranian society whether the armed forces serve them or serve the enemy of freedom and free society. Iranian people should be prepared for final battle for freeing their homeland and must not forget that their FOREVER leader Cyrus the Great died in battlefield in 530 BC at the age of 60 and not in bed.

9. Work within high standard of code of ethics not to fight with other political groups or fellow FREE Iran Activists unless they are violating one of the key principles or moving against the concept of Free Society and secular democracy.

10. We are Free Iran Activists and Watch Group monitoring high government officials, Journalists , writers and scholars words and their actions based on the following direction from James Madison:
"If men were angels, no government would be necessary. If angels were to govern men, neither external nor internal controls on government would be necessary. In framing a government which is to be administered by men! over men, the great difficulty lies in this: you must first enable the government to control the governed; and in the next place oblige it to control itself. A dependence on the people is, no doubt, the primary control on the government; but experience has taught mankind the necessity of auxiliary precautions. "
The Federalist No. 51 (James Madison).

11. Support and promote people, groups and leadership who are making positive contributions for Human Rights, Regime Change in Iran, Free
Iran, Free Society and Secular democracy from Center, Right and Left.

We thank all compatriots and organizations who contributed for defining part of above Guideline Framework for Human Rights, Regime Change in Iran, Free Iran, Free Society and Secular Democracy .

Molotov cocktail

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jump to: navigation, search
A Molotov cocktail, also known as a petrol bomb, benzine torch, molotov grenade or a molotov bomb, is the generic name for a variety of crude incendiary weapons. They are commonly associated with irregular military forces and rioters, they are actually more frequently used for basic arson. In urban slang, they are often referred to as a homemade frag.

A Molotov cocktail consists of a glass bottle partly filled with flammable liquid, usually gasoline or alcohol, usually methanol or ethanol. The mouth of the bottle is stopped up with a cork or other type of airtight bung, made of rubber, glass, or plastic, and a cloth rag is fixed securely around the mouth. The weapon is used by first soaking the rag in a flammable liquid immediately prior to using it, lighting the rag, and throwing the bottle at the target. The bottle shatters on impact, spilling the flammable liquid over the target, which is then ignited by the burning rag.

Common practice is to throw several full unlit bottles to saturate an area, then to ignite the target with a lit one. This avoids some of the risk of throwing several lit devices, such as revealing the attacker's location, missing the target, or dropping the Molotov cocktail.

Many substances may be added to the basic Molotov cocktail to enhance its use as a weapon:

Self-inflammatory materials, such as white phosphorus, may be used to guarantee the bottle's explosion as it hits the target surface.
Tar, palm oil, laundry detergent, liquid dish soap, dissolved polystyrene, sugar or other thickening agents are often added to make the burning fluid stick to the target. Tar also helps to make a thick black smoke. In their wars with the Soviet Union, Finnish soldiers often used hand soap suds and tar for this purpose.
Acid may be added to increase both the damage from the explosive device and its ability to penetrate fire-resistant surfaces.
Thermite can also be added to mixture inside the bottle to increase burn time and burn through many surfaces as a result of the molten iron created in the thermite reaction.
Molotov cocktails are similar to napalm bombs in principle. Napalm was originally made by combining flammable naphthalene and petrol with a thickening agent palmitic acid, the latter two being the main ingredients of Molotov cocktails.

According to Che Guevara's writings, the ideal mixture for creating an anti-personnel sheet of flame is three parts gasoline to one part motor oil.

A mural in Derry of a young boy in a gas mask holding a petrol bomb during the Battle of the Bogside, August 1969.The name "Molotov cocktail" is derived from Vyacheslav Mikhailovich Molotov, a Soviet politician who was the People's Commissar for Foreign Affairs, or the Foreign Minister, of the Soviet Union, with an ironic reference to the 1930s fashion for pre-dinner "cocktails". During the buildup to World War II, when Finland refused to surrender some land to the Soviet Union, the Soviets invaded. The poorly-equipped and heavily-outnumbered Finnish Army, facing Red Army tanks in what came to be known as the Winter War, borrowed an improvised incendiary device from the 1936-39 Spanish Civil War; in that conflict, the Church- and Axis-backed Nationalists under General Francisco Franco had used the weapon against Soviet T-26 tanks supporting the Spanish Republicans in a failed 1936 Soviet assault near Toledo, 30 km from Madrid.[1]

When Molotov claimed in radio broadcasts that the Soviet Union was not dropping bombs but rather delivering food to the starving Finns, the Finns started to call the air bombs satirically "Molotov picnic baskets". Soon they responded by saluting the advancing tanks with "Molotov cocktails." At first the term was used to describe only the burning mixture itself, but in practical use the term was soon applied to the combination of both the bottle and its contents. This Finnish use of the hand- or sling-thrown explosive against Soviet tanks was repeated in the subsequent Continuation War. Molotov cocktails were eventually mass-produced by the Finnish military, bundled with matches to light them.

These weapons saw widespread use by all sides in World War II. They were very effective against light tanks, and very bad for enemy morale. The following is a first-hand description of their effects, written during the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising in 1943:

The well-aimed bottles hit the tank. The flames spread quickly. The blast of the explosion is heard. The machine stands motionless. The crew is burned alive. The other two tanks turn around and withdraw. The Germans who took cover behind them withdraw in panic. We take leave of them with a few well-aimed shots and grenades.[2]
During the 1948 Arab-Israeli War, members of the Israeli Kibbutz Degania managed to stop a Syrian tank assault by using Molotov cocktails. They were frequently used against Soviet tanks with great efficiency in the Hungarian Revolution of 1956.

Molotov cocktails are much more effective against gasoline engines than diesel engines. Diesel is very viscous, and has a high flashpoint of 64°C - making it much less flammable and runny, compared to petrol.

The weapon has been used against tanks effectively because of the conformation of parts of tanks, particularly around the undersides and fuel tank "entrances". A Molotov cocktail will often blow up the gasoline tank, destroying the machine, particularly for older tank models. Some Soviet tanks actually had an entry to the gas tank on the side of the vehicle, which could be opened by combatants in close quarters, letting out the highly flammable liquid and making destruction of the tank even easier. Note that these tactics were only effective due to the advantage guerrillas had in close quarters; tanks can barely maneuver in such conditions and are not able to counter quick-moving enemies armed with incendiary bombs.

Petrol bombs were widely used throughout the Troubles in Northern Ireland in riot situations, directed towards the RUC or the British Army. As well as occasional situations where they continue to be used against the PSNI and army, they are frequently used in sectarian attacks on homes and businesses by both communities. Fireworks and homemade grenades, known as blast bombs now commonly accompany petrol bomb attacks on the security forces.

The easy construction of a Molotov cocktail makes it a standard weapon of guerrilla warfare and violent rioters, but it can be challenging for an amateur to make an effective device. The most common failure is in over-filling the bottle, as a full bottle will not ignite quickly when it breaks on impact (although it has a longer burning potential). For a device to explode rapidly on impact, the bottle should be only one-half to two-thirds full. However, one must consider whether the additional power is worth the risk of a premature explosion. Another common mistake is failing to wipe down the bottle, which removes flammable residue, prior to lighting the rag. Yet another error is to use the ignition rag directly to stopper the bottle. Other common difficulties include failing to make an airtight seal with the stopper to prevent escaping fumes, a too-long or too-loosely secured ignition rag, using an inappropriate bottle (e.g., short-necked, wide-mouthed, too fragile, or too tough), and above all, mishandling after the rag is ignited.

A common modification is to use a sealed bottle of flammable liquid (still no more than two-thirds full), for example a liquor bottle with a screw-on lid, and tightly rubber-band a tampon (without applicator) soaked in flammable liquid to the neck. The feminine product holds a large quantity of liquid, does not degrade due to the corrosiveness of the petrol, and its lightweight aerodynamic shape causes less drag than would a rag. Using a sealed bottle prevents the thrower from dousing himself and those near him in flaming liquid when winding up to throw. In order to easily transport the device, the tampon can be wrapped in cellophane after being soaked in gasoline. A cigarette lighter can easily burn through the cellophane and ignite the tampon at the moment of use. It is thus possible for a woman carrying a bottle of liquor, tampons, a scarf, cigarettes and lighter to be in the possession of deadly ingredients that would ordinarily arouse little suspicion.

In short, Molotov cocktails are inherently dangerous devices due to their incendiary or explosive nature. The manufacture and use of Molotov cocktails involves serious danger to the unskilled manufacturer.

As incendiary devices, Molotov cocktails are illegal to manufacture or possess in many regions. Their use against people is typically covered under a variety of charges, including assault, actual or grievous bodily harm, manslaughter, attempted murder, and murder, depending upon their effect and upon local laws. Their use against property is usually covered under arson charges. In the United States, Molotov cocktails are considered "destructive devices" and regulated by the ATF.

Recent use
Molotov cocktails were put to use recently during the riotous 2005 civil unrest in France. Another situation with popularity for them is the Palestinian Intifada.

In Sydney, during the Cronulla Riots, rioters carrying Molotov cocktails were apprehended when they carried open bottles in a bus. The resulting smell of petrol alerted the driver, who in turn alerted the police.

During the Columbine High School massacre, the two gunmen built and threw several Molotov cocktails; however, none of them exploded. It's presumed that this was due to their being overfilled.
