The Paris gathering had good intentions to bring different groups closer together even though the very same concept was the main reason for lack of real progress.

Unfortunately large gathering tends to yield little or no result at all due to the diversity of the opinions and differences on key issues such as federalism, ethnicities Vs nationalities and the method of overthrowing the Islamic regime.

The Paris meeting was no exception, the individuals and groups with different agendas and different approaches made the meeting similar to the other ones in the past. The lack of presence of the new generation was also noticeable.

There were however some good people with good intentions who gathered and made good effort to make progress but when the agendas and approaches don’t mach there will be little result.

The exiled groups should be representative of Iranian people inside Iran. Religious and ethnic representation must be present within political parties and groups. In other words political parties and groups should be mirror reflections of the people of Iran.

To have self-made nationality groups who supposedly representing “nationalities” within Iran should be outside the frame work of any gathering. To spend time and energy to educate such individuals about the Iranian history and identity of Iranian ethnicities are useless and time consuming process that will yield no result. Such groups receive their lectures from foreign entities. To have such individuals presented at Iranian gathering will result only in lack of progress while giving validity to their presence.

Another obstacle for progress is the presence of former Islamic republic officials and collaborators.
Islamic Republic officials are committing crime against humanity on regular bases and their former collaborators and officials are subjects to future national courts. However there is always room for the low-level collaborators to join the opposition by following
guide for purification for regime officials. An example of such letter can be viewed
here. Possibilities to reach an agreement of any sort with groups and individuals who do not share the same agenda are minimal and time consuming and time is a luxury that we don’t have.

Marzeporgohar Party does not exclude cooperation with other groups as long as some key elements are respected:
1. Overthrowing regime by a popular revolution
2. Establishment of Secular and democratic constitution
3. Sovereignty of Iranian borders
4. Central government represented by Iranians for Iranians regardless of ethnicity and religion.

Naturally the above articles must be treated in depth with details. However the key issues must be in tact while discussing the details and approach. It is only with common agenda /platform successful meeting with tangible results can occur.

The Paris meeting did not meet our prerequisite for further engagement.

Thank you for Paris report and clarification.
At this time Federalism and new invented stupid term “Secular Islam” can not be part of any discussion as long as Iran is under the control and hostage of Mullahs . Discussion of Federalism in the context of weak, poor and small Iran is the most unpatriotic priority by any one at any level for creating another bloodbath like Iraq in Iran ….
FREE Iran Centralized Secular Elected Government Priorities and Tasks After Regime Change are as follows:
- Internal Security
- Border Security
- Establishing Free Society
- Establishing Secular Democracy
- Cleaning 30 years of Mullahs, EU3 … and Islamist Taazi mess in Iran
- Establishing strong Economy and jobs for all regions of country
- Justice
-
-
If and when the above tasks completed successfuly then people of the region via their Secular elected officials might wish to discuss Federalism in the context of big Iran covering over 200 million people free from Islam and Blood Oil …..

This is the Big Iran Free From Islam and Blood Oil:

Thank you for this MPG flash

ActivistChat 2007 Guideline Framework And Vision Of Future

1. Cyrus the Great (585-529 BC), is the founding father of Persia. ActivistChat members admire Cyrus The Great as the greatest liberator of all time for defining the First Declaration of Human Rights over 2500 years ago and the humane treatment of vast empire he ruled. Professor Richard Frye of Harvard University said; "Surely the concept of One World, the fusion of Peoples and Cultures into oneness was one of his important legacies".

2. Ferdowsi is the father of Iranian Renaissance, neo-Iranian cultural awareness, and the Shahnameh is credited with the revival of Iranian identity.

3. Being Iranian is defined by a state of mind, not by a place of residence. The barbaric Islamist mullahs and their mercenaries presently ruling Iran are not Iranians and currently Iran is under occupation of Islamic Fascists. Iranians are proud spiritual descendants of King Cyrus the Great, the author of the first charter of the human rights. Some of Cyrus’ children live in the patch of land called Iran. The overwhelming majority—free humans with human beliefs—live in every country, city, and village of the earth.

4. Our unity, position and expectation from others are defined and evaluated with new set of rules and test cases as guidance in search of truth:
a- Have a secular democracy purpose b- Have a Human Rights purpose
c- Have a Free Society purpose d- Have a primary effect to increase freedom at global level.
e- Have the element of War Of Ideas to expand public awareness, education and expansion of truth.

5. Our vision of Greater Middle East is based on Cyrus The Great Unity vision and referred as CU. In the past 2500 years of the history of Greater Middle East the only time that we have seen relative peace and prosperity was during Cyrus The Great and Achaemenid Empire era and some of the worst bloodshed happened after creation of Islam 1400 years ago. The Iranians regarded Cyrus The Great as The Father, the Babylonians as The Liberator, the Greeks as the Law-Giver, and the Jews as the Anointed of the Lord. Reject any Religious, Ethnic cleansing and religious parties for creating division and partition.

6. The "War on Terror" which is a subset of "War on Taazi" UNWINNABLE and the world peace can not be achieved as long as the Unelected Taazi Islamists Terror and Torture Masters are in power in Iran. The TAAZI terror state and fear society can not create peace and stability.
To avoid War or Nuclear war or another disaster like Chernobyl nuclear disaster 20 years ago , ( Animation of Nuclear Bunker Buster: Destructive impact on civilian population in Iran and beyond )
our message to Iranian people inside Iran: General Strike Now, our message to Security Forces (Police, Pasdaran and Military) must act now for regime change and replacing it with Free society and Secular Democracy. The Iranian people have already spoken by boycotting Elections. The Armed forces must choose between defending and serving the people or serving Mullahs. This is up to armed and security forces to choose between SHAME and HONOR, serving Mullahs or their Sisters, Brothers, Fathers & Mothers who pay their salary.
To avoid war Iranian people of all ages do not have any choice other than be prepared to fight to free their homeland from Viruses of Iranian society whether the armed forces serve them or serve the enemy of freedom and free society. Iranian people should be prepared for final battle for freeing their homeland from TAAZI and must not forget that their FOREVER leader Cyrus the Great died in battlefield in 530 BC at the age of 60 and not in bed.

7. Iranian people can decide about Nuclear Energy, Nuclear Research and Atomic Bomb after the regime change when they have established stable secular democracy and FREE society until then Iran should avoid any kind of Nuclear research program, resulting to acquire Atomic Bomb, under Islamist Taazi occupation and control.

8. Territorial integrity and national sovereignty of Iran.

9. Complete separation of religion from the State.

10. Acceptance of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

11. Free, open and democratic referendum to elect the type of the new Government of Iran in the post-IRI era.

12. Work within high standard of code of ethics not to fight with other political groups or fellow FREE Iran Activists unless they are violating one of the key principles or moving against the concept of Free Society and secular democracy.

13. We are Free Iran Activists and Watch Group monitoring high government officials, Journalists , writers and scholars words and their actions based on the following direction from James Madison:
"If men were angels, no government would be necessary. If angels were to govern men, neither external nor internal controls on government would be necessary. In framing a government which is to be administered by men! over men, the great difficulty lies in this: you must first enable the government to control the governed; and in the next place oblige it to control itself. A dependence on the people is, no doubt, the primary control on the government; but experience has taught mankind the necessity of auxiliary precautions. "
The Federalist No. 51 (James Madison).

14. Support and promote people, groups and leadership who are making positive contributions for Human Rights, Regime Change in Iran, Free
Iran, Free Society and Secular democracy from progressive Center, Right and Left.

15- Separation Of Oil and State, Separation Of Blood Oil and Human Rights, Separation Of Blood Oil and Free Society, Separation Of Blood Oil and Secular Democracy and Stop Global Warming.

We thank all compatriots and organizations who contributed for defining part of above Guideline Framework for Human Rights, Regime Change in Iran, Free Iran, Free Society and Secular Democracy .

Dear Espandyar,

As one who has in the past tried to help mend fences and bring folks together in dialoge with US officials to help the opposition have voice and ongoing imput, I have a few questions regarding the Paris meeting.

( thanks for the MGP report )

First, I would like to know if there was even a single issue that all could agree upon (other than obviously everyone wants a new form of government in Tehran).

Quote:
The lack of presence of the new generation was also noticeable.

Why was that the case?

Quote:
The exiled groups should be representative of Iranian people inside Iran. Religious and ethnic representation must be present within political parties and groups. In other words political parties and groups should be mirror reflections of the people of Iran.

I agree, but how can that be accomplished without any way to take an accurate poll of the people's sentiments?

Is it possible to start with what you have and expand the representitive process as time progresses?

Perhaps as an alternative, were attendees to simply refrain from trying to speak for others and simply spoke for themselves as individuals, much of these presently intractable factors that inhibit unity can be offset, with a simply unified understanding that when the mullahs are removed and people can undertake a national consensus (or referendum) , that is fair and accurate, that then and only then can proper and authorised representitives be said to represent various sectors of the Iranian diaspora.

This would I think also mitigate the resentment towards those that may falsly claim to be representitive, simply because they would not be able to while attending any future meetings.

In other words, even a group that has some following with folks inside Iran would not claim to be their representitive until such time as it could be legitimized via the formation of an interim post-regime government, chosen by the people to organize a properly recognized constitution, with a propery and fairly monitored ratification by the people of their constitution, permanent government structure, and its leaders and representitive assembly.

It is not easy to accept that some bridges must be crossed when one gets to them, and I think from your reporting, that this may be with all good intent, exactly part of the problem in coming to consensus on issues.

It has been suggested that a "government in exile" be formed....I ask...Why form it in exile? Why not agree to get to square 1 first...that being the removal of the current criminal system....then you don't have to form it in exile, nor risk it being not properly representitive of the people.

"The future's uncertain and the end is always near..." so goes a refrain from a Greatful Dead song....

But it is reality, and in the end , trust that to motivate compromise and common cause , then with that one may come to find reason to trust in one another to forge a common future in a free Iran.

It is a long difficult continuous process, and walking away will always be a valid temptation when deadlock of opinion cast doubt. One must also excercise the courage to step into other's shoes to reach understanding, and seek the rationale to sit again at the table.

One thing is certain, so long as this regime exists in power,.. threatens global peace and security, Iran's soveregnity , security, and in fact its very existance as a nation is placed at risk by the actions of the criminals that pretend to be representitive, and dare speak for the Iranian people.

It has been suggested that the US was inept in determining those present at last year's meeting with gov. representitives and opposition groups. I believe it is not for my government to determine who is legitimate or who is not representitive of Iranian people. The US gov. is properly willing to listen to all interested parties to help determine its options to assist the democratic goals of all Iranians.

Successful outcome or not, I'm glad to have played my part in helping instigate that meeting, and all I can say is keep trying, and anticipate small miracles.

Regards,

EJ
