I don't know exactly but it appears that he had appeared in a radio program of some sort talking about Zoroastrianism and trying to raise awareness of the harsh situation of his community after the Islamic invasion in Iran. He had apparently had gotten death threats after that program.

I also heard today on Pars TV that there was a memorial for him in Tehran organized by members of the Zoroastrian community and that the Islamic Revolutionary Guards was intimidating members of his family into denying that he was murdered and instead saying that he had died of a heart attack! But I don't know if it's true. If there was intimidation, I doubt his family members would ever acknowledge that they were being intimidated by the government. So how would Pars TV know?

I think it's possible that the killers were Arab-muslims in France but we all know too well that the mullahs are fully capable of these sorts of acts with the 300 Iranians in Europe that they have murdered so far. I would say it's most likely the work of the regime's agents, just like all the other ones.

Whoever killed him was a Muslim and this was definately an Islamic ritualistic killing directed at someone who wanted to introduce and promote Iranian culture to the rest of the world. It's evil! Pure evil! Evil or Very Mad

Can someone start a petition to French Government and copy EU countries?

These are SHO'ARHAYE TUKHALI.

Rise up against the French government? Why not suggest something more practical, and sane, like simply show your support for our compatriots wearing chains around their necks and getting beaten up by the Belgian police?

You can sign petitions till you're red in the face, or you can DO something.

.

You are being presumptuous, assuming I don't support the demonstrators in Belgium. Of course I have full support for our compatriot. My suggestion was Iranians in France need to draw attention to French government's support of the criminal regime in Iran.

I'm sure that the representative of "daneshjoo.org" in France did protest or will protest soon. Wink

Spenta means French Government not freedom loving French people.
Most often the French government does not tell their people how they receive bribes....
Please review Dr. Shapur Bakhtiar and 100s of oppositions case who killed in France in past 26 years.
Our conclusion is that the French government accepted the below cost oil contract bribes from Mullahs for closing their eyes to killing of key Iranian opposition leadership in France..... History will be a better judge for what French government has done in past 26 years...

On 6th August, 1991 Prime Minister Dr. Shapur Bakhtiar was murdered by the agents of the Islamic Republic Mafia with knife in his Paris home. What the regime did not realize is that they will never kill his ideas. As a firm opponent of all totalitarian rule, he volunteered for service with the French Resistance and served in the "Orlean" battalion in WWII. France sold his hero and soul to cheap oil and contracts from Islamic Mafia.

Has France Sold His Hero and Soul To Islamic Clerical Mafia Knife? What happened to friends of liberity?

Is this a joke? Go to google and type in "Kasra vafadari" and the following link comes up:

Wife of murdered Iranian professor held in Paris

PARIS, May 19 (AFP) - The wife of an Iranian professor found dead in his Paris apartment earlier this week was taken into police custody on suspicion of complicity, police said Thursday.

The person responsible for the death of 58-year-old Kasra Vafadari, who taught at a Paris university, was still believed to be at large, police said.

Vafadari - who was separated from his wife, but not yet divorced - was found dead on Tuesday, with stab wounds to his throat, by the caretaker of his apartment building.

A long-time resident of France, the Iranian professor was an active member of the Zoroastrian community in Iran. Zoroastrianism is the ancient religion of

Persia, founded by the prophet Zarathushtra.

Investigators have ruled out a political motive, saying the killing was likely a personal affair.

What NITV said the method of his killing was not correct. Apparently he was stabbed in the neck.

Row increases over murder of Iranian scholar in France

SMCCDI (Information Service)
May 29, 2005

http://daneshjoo.org/cgi-bin/messageboard/ikonboard.cgi?s=ea6084206f91eee5d688db4de9b88574;act=ST;f=1;t=8331

The row over the murder of an Iranian residing in France is increasing and many are seeing the foot print of the Islamic regime's notorious hit squads and France's usual complaisance in this new tragedy.

The victim named "Kasra Vafadari", a retired Nanterre University Professor, was stabbed to death in his apartment in Paris two weeks ago. As yet, his family and close friends have not been informed of the results of initial investigations which are carried by France.

Kasra Vafadari was a Zoroastrian who traveled often to Iran over the past several years, despite his French wife objection. He was saddened by the suffering and discrimination the Iranian Zoroastrians were facing. He was disturbed by the Zoroastrian cemeteries destruction and the pressures and insults the Iranian Zoroastrians were suffering from. The scholar left no stone unturned to improve the condition of the Zoroastrians. He had just returned from Iran and was planning to go back when he became victim of this new horrendous crime.

The French authorities have called his murder a domestic squabble, not a political assassination. However, if top counter-terrorism judge Jean-Louis Bruguiere picks up the case and determines that Vafadari was assassinated, it will be the first time since 1997 that the regime has chosen to strike at dissidents living outside of Iran. The previous assassination campaign claimed more than 100 victims, and was led by former president Hashemi-Rafsanjani, who is jockeying to stage a comeback in the June 17 elections.

It's to note that Vafadari's murder is very similar to those of the lates Commander Shahriar Shafigh, Dr. Shapour Bakhtiar, Soroosh Katibe, Cyrus Elahi, Dr. Abdol-Rahman Boroomand and Dr. Koorosh Aryamanesh which were all made on the French soil with often the flagrant silence of the government of this country which is one of the biggest economic collaborators of the Islamic regime.

The new murder was committed at a time when, addressing a press conference, former Islamic FM, Ali-Akbar Velayati, who is running for the 9th Presidential Elections, made implicit reference to secrets of certain political assassinations. He, however, failed to mention that following these assassinations, the criminals escaped prosecution and punishment by Austrian, Swiss, French, or German judiciaries because they carried diplomatic passports and reaped benefit of diplomatic immunity. Neither did he say that the embassies of the Islamic Republic served as headquarters for organizing these crimes and granting refuge to the criminals carrying out these plots. He did not mention that, with their diplomatic passports, Saeed Emami and his league of criminals even attended UN General Assembly sessions as members of the Islamic Republic delegation.

Velayati is under a warrant issued by the German judiciary in the Mykonos Affair, just as like as, Ali Fallahian, the former Ministry of Intelligence of Hashemi Rafsnajani government.

Emami was later subject of an internal purge and supposedly committed "suicide" by swallowing some depilatory cream while being in custody. His mysterious death, looking like to be a murder by his colleagues, avoided investigations which would have shown the role of the real masterminds behind the deaths of hundreds of Iranian dissidents inside and outside Iran.

**** FRANCE .

so far most of the assasinations were done in France.

French police probably bought this murderer a first class ticket back to tehran, just like the previous cases.

REMEMBER TO PAY THEM BACK IN DUE TIME.

attention everyone, when I wrote:

what I actually meant was:

The French truly are SCUM

that means I think :
The French truly are SCUM

Given how many dissidents have been killed in France with the assassins getting away scot free, you betta. Not to mention the French govt's sponsorship of the worst and most brutal dictatorships in the world. Atleast in the US Americans routinely criticise their govt. and even demosntrate against it for its foreign policy, but you really don't see the French doing that to their govt. now do you?

So once again ...

The French truly are SCUM

Down With Islamic Republic

Long Live Iran

==============================================

The killer of Dr. Kasra is revealed

The following is a translation of an article that was printed in MPG's most recent underground publication (volume 4) in Iran. Sepehr Aryania, the Los Angeles Branch Coordinator of the Marze Por Gohar Party, conducted the translation for this article.

More than a year ago on May 17, 2005, an Islamic Republic Terrorist named "Mehdi Shadi Komoleh" slaughtered Dr. Kasra in Paris.

Dr. Kasra was in Paris to receive treatment for his heart disease. His plan was to go back home to Iran the day after the treatment.

The terrorist was a member of the regime militia "Sepah Pasdaran" (IRGC) and he was at the front in Iran-Iraq war back in the 1980s. He was also one of the four thousand military forces who were sent to Bosnia. He escaped Netherlands and was hiding in the suburb of Amsterdam after the assassination. He was arrested a month later by the Netherlands police and was transferred to "Sante", a prison in Paris.

The story began in 2003 when Maryam S., an Iranian female, planned to have a good connection with Dr. Kasra. She asked for some help to support her husband who was a medical student. Dr. Kasra provided a place for them to live.

But later on, Maryam had to leave France due to her marriage problems with Shahin. Shahin collected a lot of information about Dr. Kasra's contacts with Islamic Republic oppositions. It was before when the Islamic Republic Intelligence "Etelaat" had interrogated Dr. Kasra. The two Islamic Republic Terrorists kidnapped him once for a few minutes in London. Dr. Kasra was threatened to death and then was released on London streets. It was over one year when the Dutch and the French police refused to release more details about this assassination.

The Islamic Republic has tons of criminal cases in and outside Iran. The silence of Europe about the Islamic Republic regime encourages the Islamic regime to prepare and send more terrorists to European countries.

MPG condemns every single crime committed all over the world by the Islamic regime, including Dr. Kasra's violent assassination.

===============================================

MPG Report on IRI Intelligence Preying on Women

The following is the MPG English translation from MPG's underground paper, the "Night Mail" vol. 4, in Iran.

April 2006

The anti woman regime of Khomeini began its campaign against Iranian women shortly after coming to power in 1979 by sending out fascist street gangs, sometimes led by fanatic women chanting "either head scarf or head bang", hitting women on their heads and forcing them to disband and obey the new laws. Soon after, women without headscarves or with inadequate cover (!) were purged from all government offices. At the same time, the regime would send professional prostitutes, complete with their professional dress and makeup, to demonstrate in the streets against the Islamic Hijab, in order to degrade all women who demanded their stolen rights. Later on the regime organized the nationwide campaign known as "enforcing the (Islamic) commands and preventing the (Islamic) forbidden" during which Islamic gangs would severely beat up women whose scarves showed some hair and pushed thumb tacks into their foreheads. This long campaign was so brutal that later on during Khatami's presidency, the hard line Mullah Nategh Nouri said " Mr. Akbar Ganji (today's darling of the reformist movement abroad) and his friends were so uncompromising towards women that I, as the minister of interior, had to caution them" against it!

At the same time, there was another parallel effort by the intelligence agencies against women, which was no less criminal in its essence and scope. Intelligence agents would target attractive women, arrest them, produce pornographic photos and films of these hapless detainees and blackmail them into cooperation whereby some of these women would have to join opposition groups as spies while others would continue as sex slaves of the Mullahs and their intelligence agents.

Yet another inhumane policy of the Islamic regime has been the mass murder of women by gangs connected to the intelligence agencies. In 1997, the mass murderer of tens of women known as the "night bat", was later shown to have been acting according to plans of the Revolutionary Guards intelligence agency in order to terrorize women into staying home and keeping in line.

A mass murderer in the city of Mash-had called Said Hanaii who was hunting and killing women, later claimed that he was merely doing his religious duty to combat prostitution. He was censored in such a suspicious manner that it demonstrated the presence of intelligence agents in the affair.

The exposed case of mass murders of 2002 in the city of Kerman by a gang of six Revolutionary Guardsmen called "Pasdars" also claimed the lives of several women. Jamileh Esmaeely, was kidnapped by these Revolutionary Guradsmen who stoned her to death and disposed of her body in a nearby desert area to be eaten by wild animals. . Shohreh Nikpour was another young victim of these savage "Pasdars". Shohereh was kidnapped along with her fiancée while they were on their way to their future home. The Pasdars drowned both of them, ditched their bodies in a desert and set their car on fire. Ziba Shah-dousti was strangled in her house, which was subsequently set afire. The neighbors had seen four men enter the house. The six Pasdars, did not mention Ziba in their "court room" confessions but it is believed that this murder had also been part of the same campaign.

Even though the Revolutionary Guards hunt down women under the pretext of combating sexual corruption, they themselves do engage in sexual acts with their victims who are fair game according to their doctrine as well as with other women. For example, a 25 year old woman named Mohadesseh who had sex with the leaders of the "Pasdar" gang Mohammad Hamzah Mostafavi, was condemned to 20 lashes while Mostafavi, the head of these mass murderers was pardoned and is free today. This is justice in the Mullah's regime. Another Revolutionary Guardsman named Mohammad Abbassi, who cooperated with the gang and had personally participated in six kidnappings and murders, had sexual relationship with women. This man was only condemned to ninety lashes but it is not clear if even that sentence was ever carried out. Another Revolutionary Guardsman is named Ali Maleki who had participated in four murders. While Maleki had brutally murdered Shohreh Nikpour and her fiancée in order to "combat sexual corruption" he had himself, sexual relation with a woman named Arezoo!

During 2002, there were eighteen murders of this kind in the city of Kerman of which thirteen cases were treated as "very ambiguous" and only five were "found" to have been related to the Revolutionary Guard gang. Interestingly, when the case of the Pasdar murders was exposed in the open, it was reported that Pasdar Jowr-kesh, the commander of the Kerman police was removed. Jowr-kesh had previously announced that he intended to say many things about the mass murdering gang of the Revolutionary Guardsmen and he would be ready to debate the Prosecutor of Kerman. This man was removed by the direct order of the Pasdar General Ghalibaf. The head of the Pasdar gang, Mostafavi, emphasized in his "court" proceedings that he had committed all the murders according to "Fatwa" ( edict by a prominent Mullah) and by "Estekhareh" or the ritual consultation of the Koran ( fortune telling by opening a page of the Koran and figuring out if the contents are positive or negative, go or no-go). He referred to an audiotape in which Ayatollah Mesbah Yazdi (President Ahmadi-Nejad's mentor) had legitimized the murder of "such people". Mesbah's name was censored by the "court" while the pardoning of the murderers and forcing the families of three of the victims to forgive to killers (according to the Islamic laws in Iran, the family of a victim can either forgive the killer or ask for his execution, whereupon the family of the victim must pay the full life value of the executed person to his family!!) shows that there were powerful forces behind the mass murder of women in Kerman.

After the crimes of the intelligence gangs of the regime broke into the open, the IRI had no choice but to hold show trials for the public. During the past few months; however, mass murders of women has resumed while at the same time the Mullahs have begun their ranting against women's rights. On the other hand "indoctrination" teams were sent to the streets by the police to combat "inadequate Hijabism"!

The recent increase in the number of murdered women, at a time when the criminal Mullah Ejeii (who gave the Fatwa for killing Iranian dissidents in 1998) and the intelligence agents tied to the death squads of the 1990s have returned to the scene, has strengthened the suspicion that together with restructuring of the Revolutionary Guard Intelligence, the regime is planning to continue its murdering methods.

Recently, Mullah Nasseri, the member of the reactionary "Parliament", from the city of Babol, said the following in a Hezbollah (Iranian fanatic street thugs similar to Nazi storm troopers) meeting regarding women's Hijab: "It is necessary to launch cultural and media efforts as well as judicial, punitive and enforcement measures ... those who like the society to be corrupt, will suffer painfully. Along the same lines, those who follow this path must be confronted in the worst possible way. In Islam, we have corporal and physical punishment... this girl with inadequate Hijab must be made to understand that her appearance belongs to Los Angeles; of course those who cannot be reformed must be dealt with harshly ... look at Paris and London, the sword is ruling there"! Also Mullah Ebrahim Amini, the Friday Imam of the city of Qum has recently said the following in his sermon: "Why don't you do anything (about the Hijab issue)? ... What ugliness is this phenomenon, preached through the Internet and satellite (TV) while no one prevents it"?

Here is a brief look at some suspicious murder cases which implicate the intelligence apparatus of the Mullahs: A pregnant woman was killed in a gruesome manner on 186th street in Tehranpars (East of Tehran) on Wednesday April 19th of this year; the "brilliant" police detectives arrest her husband and then release him for lack of evidence. During the last two years, eight other women were also killed in Tehranpars who were either living alone or were murdered when no one else from their family was home... In most of these murders the armed murderer(s) had entered the home at any hour of day or night. Information from inside someone's home can only be obtained by surveillance methods available only to intelligence agents. How is it possible (as some authorities have theorized) that all the murderers of Tehranpars have accidentally confronted lone women inside their homes?...

In another example of exposed mass murders, we should site the case of the Bassej Militia murderers of Shahr-eh Rey (South of Tehran). These savage elements used to gather every Thursday in a place called "The Hole" to plan their killings. The head of this gang was a guy named Saeed Assgar who in another show trial had confessed to the assassination attempt against Hajjarian (a high ranking Intelligence official who for a while championed the idea of saving the regime by liberalizing it, until he was shot) after which he got off with a light sentence. Among the victims of these killers was a young girl. This gang cited their murdering mentor "Ayatullah Khomeini" who had encouraged the Hezbollah youth to fulfill their "divine and religious duties" to legitimize their "fight against Corruption".

Based on the existing inhuman laws of "Islamic Punitive" code in Iran ... if someone kills a person believing that the victim deserved to be punished (according to the Shariah) or the victim's blood had to be spilled (again according to the Shariah - such as in the case of infidels, blasphemers, etc..) and can demonstrate this to the court, then he will not be punished and there will not be any compensation either. If it is found that the victim was NOT deserving of death (according to the codes of the Shariah) but the killer actually BELIEVED that the victim was deserving, then this will be treated as a "quasi murder" ( similar to accidental killing or manslaughter in the US) for which there will be NO punishment except payment of compensation (set in the laws of "blood value" or value of a life - example: a woman's life is worth half of a man's....- and adjusted periodically for inflation !). Thus, according to these archaic and disgusting laws implemented by the Mullahs, any agent (or person) can commit any crime according to his perception or belief, knowing that at most he will have to pay compensation.

In Tehran, at least six women have been murdered under suspicious circumstances between March 21st and April 20th (Persian month of Farvardin) alone; their average age having been between 20 and 30, their bodies dumped in the deserts outside Tehran, and their identification cards or documents missing. This method of operation was precisely the same as in the assassinations of writers and intellectuals by the agents of the Intelligence Ministry. If these murders were all motivated by "personal" issues, what reason can there be for dumping their bodies in the deserts and etc...

Why Does the Regime Hunt Women?

The answer is not too difficult. The inhuman regime of the Mullahs has always shown its hate towards women. Khomeini and other Mullahs openly spoke about women as a weak and mentally handicapped creature. A being who needs a guardian from birth to death. According to the Mullahs, a woman is a second class being who cannot enjoy equal rights with men. During 27 years of rule, the Islamic Regime in Iran has not had even one female minister, one female mayor or governor.

On the other hand women have always had a prominent presence in the struggle against the regime, in resisting persecution and torture in prison. Tens of thousands of women between 13 to 70 years old are among the more than 120,000 regime opponents killed and executed by the IRI.

Creating an atmosphere of terror and fear has always been part of the regime's agenda which is continuing to this day. When 800 women were killed between March 2005 and March 2006, it will be perceived as a fearsome lack of security among women. This lack of security creates psychological and mental problems, reducing a potential force of opposition or dissent to a withdrawn and fearful entity; an entity who would subsequently prefer the safety of the kitchen to the danger of the street, passivity to struggle. 800 women murdered in a single year is without precedent in Iran...

Lastly, it is a known fact that Revolutionary Guards and intelligence agents are mostly suffering from certain mental diseases and hysteria. These people who lack ethical values and identity, carry with them serious and dangerous hang-ups, akin to those afflicting torturers and interrogators. This is an additional reason why assassination squads and murdering agents willingly hunt down women under the (legal and "legitimate") guise of combating prostitution, while raping their victims in the process.

We will be writing more about the persecution of women in our country in our future issues.

Manouchehr Farhangi was Murdered in Madrid - Spain (Updated)
March 23, 2008 by Plateau

http://plateauofiran.wordpress.com/2008/03/23/manouchehr-farhangi-was-murdered-in-madrid-spain/

I heard the very tragic news about Manouchehr Farhangi’s murder in Madrid two days ago, but was hoping to receive more information from Spain before publishing a post. Apparently, not a great deal is currently available. Authorities in Spain as yet have not caught the person (or people) responsible for his murder, but investigations are continuing. However, according to VOA News (Persian) - Spanish Police suspects a woman aged between 28 - 30. Based on the testimony of a Spanish woman & camera recordings, Spanish police announced that Manouchehr Farhangi was murdered a day after an argument took place between he and the suspected woman over her putthing up propaganda posters for the IRI regime.

Manouchehr Farhangi - 82 years old - was stabbed 3 times on March 20 2008 (1st of Farvardin - first day of NoRooz), allegedly by the Islamic Republic’s assassins - IranPressNews (Persian). He is survived by his two sons Ramin and Ramesh Farhangi. The assassination of numerous other prominent Iranians in exile, who are perceived as real threats to the Islamic Republic is not a secret - previous examples include Dr. Shahpour Bakhtiar in 1991 and Fereydoun Farrokhzad in

Mr Farhangi was born into a Zoroastrian family in 1926 in the province of Kerman in Iran. A man of great integrity, he was an Iranian philanthropist and a successful businessman, with deep respect for and tireless efforts to promote ancient Iranian culture and history. Mr Manouchehr Farhangi, founder of ICS (International College Spain), was recently awarded the ECIS (European Council for International Schools) prize for the Promotion of International Education. I should note that International College Spain (ICS) was a key supporter of and a financial donor to the Bas-Relief project of Cyrus the Great in Australia in the mid 1990’s. Mr Farhangi will be tremendously missed.

My sincere condolences to the family and friends of Mr Manouchehr Farhangi.

You can read more about this tragedy as well as Mr Manouchehr Farhangi’s life and achievements in Persian here - and in memoriam from WZC in Persian and here - credit for the top photo here

A rough and summary translation, by a Spanish person, of what was published in EL PAIS newspaper:

http://www.elpais.com/articulo/espana/policia/investiga/movil/politico/asesinato/millonario/irani/elpepiesp/20080321elpepinac_9/Tes

EL PAIS is one main newspaper in Spain with considerable number of readers.

————————

1,70 meters tall woman, tanned skin and slim. This is the brief portrait that has been done by the police about the person that past wednesday killed Manouchehr Farhangi with 3 knife-stabs, an iranian 82 years old, on his luxury chalet on La Moraleja, on Alcobendas (Madrid, 105.900 population). The victim, disident of regime of Mahmud Ahmadineyad (IRI), founded in 1980 the International College Spain, a high level college. Police sources maintain that the reason for the crime could have been political, but they don’t discard other hypothesis.

The facts happened at 12.15 at wednesday on Cuesta de la Sierra St., 12 at La Moraleja. The murderer of Farhangi called to the door of the chalet and without uttering any words stabbed him. Farhangi died some hours later while he was at La Paz Hospital.

The police is trying to rebuild the path followed by the murderer on her run away, thanks to plenty of videocams on the zone. The Local Police recovered few moments later a 3/4 dark coat that the criminal threw away to have more freedom of movements and not been recognized. She was walking around 2 kilometers, from the crime scene to the comercial center Diversia, on Bruselas Avenue. There is a witness who saw her taking a taxi. The agents on Group X [Ten] of Homicides have centered their investigations to locate the taxi driver to learn where he had left the passenger. The testimony of a witness and recordings viewed by the police have taken a first image from the murderer. She is (suspected) a woman between 28 and 30 years old, slim ....

Once again The Islamic Terrorist of Iran killed one of our great man in abroad !!!!!
Mr. Manouchehr Farhangi the latest victim of Islamic Regime of Iran was one of the most patriotic, nationalist Iranian whom I had the privilege to know him since 1986. From day one since he fled Iran and escaped from murderous Regime he never stopped his patriotic activities and he devoted his life to promote Persian culture , history and traditions. He started at early years by opening a small language school at his house to teach Persian to Iranian children. He never stopped in progressing his goal to free Iran and valued the Persian culture and history.
His lost is a great lost to all of us .
I give my deepest heartfelt condolences to his dear family , his loved ones and to all Iranians who has been and still is fighting for freedom of Iran.
God Bless his soul , He will be always remembered by all of us.
Ba drood be Ravan Pake Janbakhteh Farhangi

The Man who joined the History of Iran

Manouchehr Farhangi one of the greatest Iranian Zoroastrian philanthropists and benefactors was cowardly killed by the agents of the Islamic Republic of Iran in his home in the suburb of Madrid in Spain

This horrible crime that been plotted for a long time, happened on Wednesday, the 20th of March 2008, on the wake of the Persian Zoroastrian New Year

“ Nororuz”, when three men and a woman at 12.30 PM. pushed the ring of his villa in Moraleja in the outskirt of Madrid. When Manouchehr Farhangi opened the door, the woman without a word pushed her long knife in Mr. Farhangi’s stomach and run away with the three Islamists agents.

Six hours later, Manouchehr Farhangi, despite the efforts of his doctors, died in the hospital. He was 82 years old.

This crime opens a new chapter in the very long list of Islamic Republic assassinations of its opponents in Europe. If up until now, the Islamic Republic used to kill thinkers, writers, religious minorities or political activists, this time it aimed at a very popular philanthropist and benefactor.

Who was Manouchehr Farhangi?

Mr. Farhangi was born into a Zoroastrian family in 1926 in the ancient Iranian city of Kerman.
He became a very successful entrepreneur and businessman in Iran before the Islamic revolution in 1979.
In the early seventies he created near Caspian coast in Bandar Pahlavi, a famous coastal village vacation complex named Dehkadeh Saheli. By the time of the Islamic revolution the project had over 350 villas and 70 apartments built and sold, with another 70 villas under construction. Alongside the same business he and his two brothers opened Monouchehr Farhangi

up a pharmaceutical company, which ultimately became one of the largest drug manufacturers in Iran.
When the Islamic revolution succeeded to take over Iran, they demanded a halt to the sale and construction of the project, under the pretext that men and women swim together in the Caspian Sea!
He was summoned to the Islamic courts on several occasions and was the subjected of harassment, verbal and physical abuse. He finally decided to take a short trip to London, where he was notified by his staff that the revolutionary thugs had taken over his corporate offices and looted his house, burning it down along with his possession and his priceless private library. Upon hearing the news he returned to Iran to proclaim and protect the leftover of what was rightfully his. Shortly thereafter all of his companies and remaining possessions were confiscated this time.
Mr. Farhangi, leaving Iran returned to Europe and settled down in Spain. In the beginning of the eighties he founded the “International School of Spain”, in the suburb of Madrid in Moraleja. Very soon this school became the most prestigious private school in Spain where today over 600 elite students, of about 50 nationalities study. After his retirement a few years ago, the school was taken over by his son Ramin Farhangi.

Why Manouchehr Farhangi was killed?

Who could kill this 82 years old man who was, with no exaggeration at all, one of the kindest, the righteous and the most generous man on this earth? The man who used to buy the cheapest cloths or shoes for himself but to give all his wealth to help cultural associations, mass-media, writers, students in need of funds to pursue their studies, organisers of congresses and lectures...
If we want to know who killed Mr. Farhangi and consequently why he was killed, we should go back to the beginning of the nineties when the Iranians, particularly the youth, in reaction to Islamic brutalities and repression in Iran, started to return, first slowly and then in an accelerated way, to the Zarathustra’s existential philosophy that had been for 1200 years the existential doctrine of Persia. The aim of life in Zoroastrian philosophy is happiness. It is to build a society based on righteousness where the human beings as well as animals and plants can lead a happy and enjoy full existence. In this philosophy, men and women are equal, and the freedom of thought and choice are basic. Exactly all that Islamic Republic hate to hear. As from the year 2000, hundreds of thousand of young people were initiated into Zoroastrianism. This year the progression of Zoroastrianism among other religions in the world, in term of percentage, was the first (see. The Encyclopaedia of Christian World, 2001-2002, 2ed).

This frightened the Mollahs in Iran.
They started to warn each other “ pay attention, Zoroastrianism has become our number one enemy !”, “ pay attention, Moslem youth are turning to Zoroastrianism by thousands !”, “ we should stop it !”.
These kinds of words have become daily. Some of these warnings can even be seen, in form of video, on “You Tube” on the net.
Mr. Farhangi as a born Zoroastrian, was precisely very generous to the cultural centres, radios, newspapers and authors who were active on this field, promoting the Zoroastrianism. He was helping them without counting. He was profoundly a humanist, and wanted to see a truly humanistic philosophy being established in Iran. This angered, and made nervous the Islamist regime.
The past experience had proved that the regime could kill and eliminate in impunity anyone of its opponent in Europe it wanted (contrary to the United States). Many Iranian opponents had already been killed in France, in the UK., in Germany, in Greece, in Italy and in Spain. Except in a few cases, almost none of the killers up to now has been arrested. This time was the turn of Mr. Farhangi, this great philanthropist. He will be remembered for ever in the heart and mind of the Iranians as a hero who gave his life for Iran.
