Would anyone risk their job by accepting bribes? Yes. It happens in Iran day in and day out.
Why?! There is no accountability in the system…only on papers not implemented so long as the bribe is shared once it is discovered.
A guard accepting bribes for doing favors are not the same as getting one released or escape from prisons.
Cell phones, ey?! Well, second floor of Evin prison is where regime keeps the white color crimes. Specially those who did not share the bribes. Those prisoners do have privileges such as cell phone (BAAZAM BEGOO DAR JOMHOORY ESLAMI AAZAADY NIST!!!).
Amir is people person and can connect with people very easily except communists. He looses and lets them have it. He made friend with one on second floor and was able to pay the guard for allowing telephone cards to be slipped in by his visitors so he could talk.
According to Amir, Islamic Rip-off can listen in on land line telephone conversations but not cell phones.
Haleh Esfandiary is not all that clean as the media portrays her!! She was delivering Iraq’s report to get the regime to cooperate. She tried to convince the regime that their calmness would result is US pull out and they can do what they want with Iraq and Arabs. Well, the response from the regime was…”we already own Iraq so do not try to bribe us with our own!!”. You can buy guards for privileges but not to escape from prison.
Back to the main topic.
Leaving jail was done through a big mistake by the regime. You see, regime announced that by providing college education to the prisoners who are eligible, crimes would be reduced (very good point). Amir used this law and applied for college. He could not be refused as the law did not (really can not) state political prisoners are excluded (they can not formally accept that they have political prisoners).
Well, he was taken to the exam sites twice with escort and handcuffs but for the third time (charm) they gave him 24 hours furlough to take his exam. He did not return and was on the run for 9-10 months in Iran.
Passport control in Tehran’s airport can be bought very easily. Have you traveled to Iran recently? If you have then have you noticed that the porter standing by the check in counter takes bribes and ignores over weight luggage?
You can buy just about anything that you wish. Just about anything. It is understandable to be skeptical but I have lived with him and witnessed his activities up close and was able to ask these very same questions. Something that Amir says about the HERAASAT (MOIS) is that people think that they are very smart but truth is something else. _________________ Ba sepas

Dear Oldman.
I didn't know there was telephone "cards" for cell phones. I thought "calling cards" could only be used on regular phones. How did he get a cell phone? |

He was able to get his hands on one through contacting the white color criminal part of Evin (second floor).
You can place calls via calling cards through land line and cell phones.
Islamic Rip-off is unable to trace a particullar cell. That is why you hear reports on KRSI and Persian programmings via cell phones from inside of Iran.
Islamic Rip-off's way of stopping it is to close teh entire cell in the area where protests take place. They can not shut down or trace cell phones. _________________ Ba sepas
