Ex-French PM guilty of corruption

A court has found former French Prime Minister Alain Juppe guilty of involvement in a party funding scam in Paris in the 1980s and early 1990s.
Juppe, one of President Jacques Chirac's closest allies, immediately appealed against the conviction.
The court gave him an 18-month suspended sentence and barred him from political office for up to 10 years.
However, he will be able to continue as mayor of Bordeaux, and as head of the governing UMP party during the appeal.

It's a hammer blow for Jacques Chirac, who thus loses his closest adviser and his designated successor, for whom he had real affection
Anita Hauser, political commentator
The prosecution argued that Juppe allowed party employees to be put on the city payroll and to be paid for by private companies when he was deputy mayor of Paris.

Mr Chirac was then the city's mayor.

[My comment: The world is running in the hands of corrupts; the Vatican, the Presidents, clergies, mayors, governors, senators, members of Parliament, Prime Ministers, all are linked together with corruption. The most corrupted link is the corruption that either is inside the churches and Vatican or clergies of any kind, Jews, Shi’ia (Muslims) etc.,. They do it all in the name of God. They exchange bribe money, kill each other, eliminate others because of $$$$$$ (Money) and POWER. The human being cost is at $0.00 and their link must survive. What people should do?? They should fight with corruption, starting from their own churches and mosque, their local councilors and mayors to the top. Many even have connection with terrorists; they launder the money by investing using terrorists bank accounts or their empowered territory. The laundered money buys weapons for others and facilitates the illegal weapon such as WMD, including but not limited to the nuclear… the rest is history for you to discover. One is the Corleone family, search and discover…]

This is true, no matter which religion you are talking about, the higher clergy are always the most corrupt. The best example other than the Mullahs, the Popes. It is a historical fact that some of the most corrupt people in history were the popes.
