Car Bombs Stopped on Iraq-Iran Border

U.S. officials said two car bombs were discovered on the Iran-Iraq border near Suleimaniya last week. Terrorists attempted to bring two explosive-laden Hondas into Iraq at the Seyyed Sadeq area of the Iranian border. The car bombs were found on April 25.

The cars were to have been used in suicide attacks against U.S. and coalition forces.

Security forces in the border region arrested three people and eight other terrorists were involved in providing logistic support to the car bombers.
