Our Children, Our Future

(By Khalil Gibran)

Our children are the fruits of the love tree of life. The creator has brought them to this world through you. Although they physically live with you they are not your property. You can show them your love but not your way of thinking because, they can think for themselves. You can provide them with refuge for their physical bodies to be with you but not their souls because theirs' are placed in the house of tomorrow, the house you cannot see, even in your dreams. You can try to be like them but never, even try to make them like you because life does not return to the past and does not dwell in yesterday. You are like a bow and your children like arrows, ejected in an endless direction. Let your bending to shoot the arrow be filled with joy and optimism.

Thousands of years ago a wise-man named Zarathushtra realized that the ever-changing time would bring different perspectives to the way we comprehend matters. Therefore he wrote an essay about how to live the Good life without any shackling prescriptions and proscriptions. His is a philosophy that has become timeless because it does not impose "do's" and "don'ts." It defines the Primal Principles of Life that promote pristine and ethical humane qualities. He called his religion The "Good Conscience".

Some of the key-words to his Principles are:

Humata (Good Thoughts)
Hukhta (Good Words)
Havareshta (Good Deeds)
Spenta Mainyu (Progressive Mentality),
Asha (Precision, Righteousness),
Vohu Manah (Good Mind),
Vohu Khshathra Vairya (Good Chosen Dominion, Democracy),
Aramaiti (Progressive Serenity, Tranquility),
Varana (Freedom of Choice),
Feresho-kereti (renovation/freshening, up-to-dating),
Maga (World fellowship)
Verezena (Community)
Ushta (Radiant Happiness through enlightenment)
Haurvatat (Wholeness, entirety, perfection)
Ameretat (Immortality)
Seraosha (Listening to the Divine Voice)

Zarathushtra presented the treatises on Good and Evil, social justice, radiating happiness, peace and prosperity, promotion of the living world, and many more points. They are such that hardly anything new has been added to what Zarathushtra realized, practiced, taught and propagated 3700+ years ago.

Zarathushtra is a Breakthrough in what is possible for humanity, that is why his message is referred to as "Manthras"(Thought provokers). Zoroastrianism is the means of gaining insight into fundamental premises that shape and govern our lives, the very structures that determine our Thoughts, our Words and our Deeds.
