Yes - and many of these stories are also fabricated by the regime in an effort to give the outside world the impression that Iranians are so fanaticall..

It might be true. People are stupid. Didn't they see Khomeini's picture in the moon? Why is it so hard to believe they would kill themselves (or in this case chicken out of killing themselves) over some type of Islamic guilt complex? Anyways, whether this really happened or it's just the regime's propaganda, there is a real need for re-education and de-islamization of Iranians. Sooner rather than later.
