I heard by Parviz Ghazi Saeed on Azadi TV that one of the American Senators who had suggested a 10 million aid to the Iranian opposition had said that there are 2 groups of iranian opposition
1.)Mujadehin Khalg which is according to the Senator a terrorist organization and will not recieve any support.
2.)Monarchists, however the senator added that monarchy supporters consist of many small groups and therefore it is difficult to support them in an effective way. Therefore USA will try to support opposition inside Iran and persian media according to Parviz Ghazi Saeed.

Can someone post any evidence that the senator has said this or something similar?
Please post it if you find, Stefania or someone else. I´m waiting for it.

No need to look for the evidence. The CFR, and the entities that that institution serves, want to "engage" the Mullahs. Others, including the President, are in favor of regime change. Part of the argument advanced by the CFR is that an effective opposition does not exist. To prove the appeasement lobby wrong, those favoring regime change must point at an existing MATERIAL force: A well organized, well trained opposition force capable of action. Can you think of one besides the MKO/MEK?

As popular and as united as the monarchists may be, they, we, are disorganized. We need a single umbrella organization, with an armed wing and military capability, as soon as possible, one that could constitute a real tangible force. Dr. Nasr Ahmadi is moving in that direction. Help from Shahzadeh Reza Pahlavi in this direction would be appreciated.

MKO doesn't have as much support inside of Iran as lets say other groups. While I don't have exact info on precisely how much support monarchy enjoys inside Iran, I do know it is great, I also know that it has increased substantially in recent years, especially with the end of the sham reforms. I also know activists in Iran who were neither monarchists or RP people a few years ago, who see a Constitutional Monarchy under RP as the only hope right now and they are part of a large group that is rapidly expanding! The western collaborators of the filthy murderous Mullah$ only started their claims that monarchy and RP enjoy no support inside of Iran, once they realised how much support monarchy and RP have in Iran, and what a threat that is. Thus the recent campaigns at "there is no effective opposition in Iran and monarchy has no support in Iran

MKO may not be as popular in Iran, however, MKO possesses many documents on the atrocities of the Mullah$, which are necessary for the prosecution of those responsibile for crimes against humanity. This is why the Mullah$ and their western collaborators are hellbent on the destruction of MKO. They also have moles inside of the Mullah$ inner sanctums, another cause for major alarm amongst the Mullah$ and their western collaborators. Their network inside of Iran is small, but well organised and effective, needless to say another threat to the Mullah$ and their western collaborators. Most supporters of dialog with Iran are currently pursuing a 2 pronged approach to denying the existance of the Iranian opposition:

1. First they claim that MKO is terrorist, despite the fact that MKO supplied the US with info about Iran's sceret nuclear weapons programs, complete with sites and precise info. And also, that MKO does not have vast support inside of Iran.

2. That the only other opposition group are the monarchists and they are either dividied (not true) or have no support inside Iran (also not true). This is the best way they can deny the expanding size and popularity of this group.

Now, Amercians can't even predict who is going to win in November in the US, but you have these Councils here in the US claiming they know who has support and who doesn't in Iran, a country that even the CIA has acknowledged they don't have such good intelligence on?!

But what really has to be questioned here, is their persistance that there is no effective opposition, something they are repeateing like a mantra, under the assumption that if you say it enough times people will believe it. The more they persist, the more suspicious it becomes to even reasonable people , who aren't aware of the opposition. There is a need for others to be saying the exact opposite, like a mantra now!
