Another public execution in Iran
AFP - World News (via Iranmania)
Aug 7, 2004
TEHRAN - A convicted "kidnapper" has been hanged publicly in the city of Zahedan in the southeastern province of Sistan Baluchestan, Sharq newspaper reported Saturday.
Yusof Porsheh was charged with a series of armed robberies, opening fire on police, escape from jail and kidnapping as well as disturbing and terrifying people, Sharq quoted the city's court as saying.
The gang he belonged to was also smashed by police, the report said, adding that more than 10 cases of kidnapping had been carried out in Zahedan in the last couple of months amid conflicts over money stemming from illegal deals.
The police have so far arrested eight "kidnappers" and killed one in operations.Murder, armed robbery, rape, apostasy and serious drug trafficking are all punishable by death in Iran.
*NOTE: It's to note that the Islamic regime uses often false labels for qualifying its armed opponents and especially those who have retaliated against the brutality of the young Bassij force involved in Iranian universities and acting as student.
Other qualifications, such as, "Bandit", "Hooligan", "Spy", "Drug Trafficker" or "Rapist" are used as well and which help the regime's European and Japanese collaborators to justify the continuation of their business relations with a repressive regime. _________________ Referendum AFTER Regime Change

I wonder why the AFP,supposed to be "fair and balanced", does not include a note reminding that the Islamic regime's executions are carried out against dissidents and which there is NOT an impartial judiciary system..
AFP would be more credible if it would cease to be the regime's mouthpiece. _________________ Referendum AFTER Regime Change
