Iranian Civil Disobedience Peaceful Demonstration
SOS Iran News - 8/20/2004
Millions of Iranian people participated in the civil disobedience peaceful demonstration from 7 to 9 PM Iran’s time on Friday night (8/20/2004) by going to the streets and parks for group walking following the invitation of S.O.S. Iran, Iran Of Tomorrow Movement (IOTM) via XTV satellite TV station broadcasting in North America, Europe, Middle East and Iran. This was an objection by Iranian people to the system of Islamic Republic of Iran government. According to the eye witnesses Police and plain cloths securities, militia forces walking among people but no incidents has been reported.
Iran of Tomorrow Movement (IOTM) and S.O.S. Iran asked people not to carry any kind of arms or any signs or posters, do not shout any anti regime slogans and recommended only as a civil disobedience show their own presence in the streets and parks in large numbers by peaceful group walking demonstration.
This was the second announcement and invitation for civil disobedience by Iran of Tomorrow Movement (IOTM) that has been completed very successfully.
The first announcement and invitation for civil disobedience by IOTM is to turn off the lights from 9:00 to 9:25 PM Iran’s time every Thursday and this action has been started from January 18, 2004 and according to the S.O.S. Iran 30% of Iranian houses in entire country are participating in this action.
Iran of Tomorrow Movement (IOTM) is a Not-For-Profit 501c(4) U.S. organization formed by group of young Iranian scientists and technocrats residence of number of countries outside Iran. The goal of this movement is to support the people of Iran for the removal of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the establishment of Freedom, Human Rights, and a democratic, secular, and modern government in Iran. Establish Free, open and democratic referendum to elect the type of the new Government of Iran in the post-IRI era with international observers.
S.O.S. Iran coalition is the union of all opposition groups, who believe in the Mission and Founding Principles of IOTM that can collaborate in harmony.
Some of the goals of this movement after removal of the Islamic Republic of Iran are free referendum establishing government based on complete separation of religion from the State, respecting the charter of human rights, territorial integrity and national sovereignty of Iran and relationship with all foreign states based on mutual interests.
The IOTM has invited Iranian people to participate in the third peaceful civil disobedience walking demonstration on Friday 8/27/2004 from 7:00 To 9:00 PM Iran’s time.
Systematic approach specialists in the IOTM are reviewing the effect and results of these civil disobedience movements and decides on future actions.
The Civil disobedience council specialists in this movement believes, by calculated systematic approach the Islamic Republic of Iran can be removed. |
