Press Briefing by Scott McClellan

Q On Iran, after India's vote (inaudible), at the IAEA against Iran, as far as nuclear weapons and technology concern. Yesterday, President also warned Iran supporting terrorism in Iraq. And, also, yesterday, Prime Minister Blair, in a news conference (inaudible) Iraqi president also confirmed that Iran is helping those terrorists --

MR. McCLELLAN: A question came up about that yesterday. What's your question today?

Q So what President think about that?

MR. McCLELLAN: We have a number of concerns about the regime in Iran. We stand on the side of the Iranian people who want greater freedom. We have a number of concerns about a regime that is more interested in pursuing nuclear weapons than they are in providing their people with the rights and the freedoms that they deserve. We have concerns about a regime that wants to move in a direction opposite of the rest of what the Middle East is doing. And we have expressed those concerns. We support the efforts of the Europeans to resolve the nuclear issue in a diplomatic way.

Iran is a country that has a long history of supporting terrorism. Iran showed the international community that all of us should be concerned with some of their comments at the United Nations. We will continue to stand with the Iranian people who seek greater freedom.

Agree, this is very clear. And probably it might be fair to say that the Spirit Of President Bush Speech (Thursday, Oct. 6, 2005 - http://www.whitehouse.gov/infocus/nationalsecurity/) is in agreement with the following statements:
- The Islamist Regime in Iran is considered as backbone of Islamist terror network.
- No concession, bribe, or act of appeasement would work with Islamist regime in Iran.
- The “War On Terror” is UNWINNABLE and the world peace can not be achieved as long as the Unelected Islamists Terror and Torture Masters are in power in Iran.
- The terror state and fear society can not create stability.
- U.S. will never back down, never give in, and never accept anything less than complete victory against Islamist regime in Iran and Islamist Terror Network.

The Spirit Of President Bush Speech Oct. 6 is ths big WIN for all Iranian oppositions against Mullahs .

that's all!

oh, and one more thing:

TAKE THEIR GREEN BELT AND KINDLY SHOVE IT.

Dear Liberty,

Maybe you missed this, and so here it is again...posted just for you.
Consider it, and see if it makes sense at this time.

Cyrus Wrote:
"Agree diplomacy should be exausted, but with this fundemantal question, are they willing to leave the power peacefuly or not because as long as the Islamist regime is in power there is no peace in the region and nobody is safe?
We know what is their answer, they have mission from god to terror, create hell, create Islamic Empire, and kill all people who don't agree with them. As President Bush said it correctly they wish to create Islamist Empire (Big Mess)."
-----------------------

Well, that may come down to a 48hr choice to pack bags or suffer "serious concequences" , and as with Saddam, I give that happening the same odds as a snowball in hell surviving the experience.

It really may depend on millions of Iranians finally realizing they have a simple choice, remove the regime because of the fine mess they've gotten the people into (being stuck in the middle), or the choice of the consequences of war.

The strategy the US and allies has taken is one of not being seen to be eager to go to war (which is true enough), and so it mitigates IRI propaganda among the Iranian population that (as Bush so eloquently put it)....

"Like the ideology of communism, our new enemy pursues totalitarian aims. Its leaders pretend to be an aggrieved party, representing the powerless against imperial enemies. In truth they have endless ambitions of imperial domination, and they wish to make everyone powerless except themselves."

......so it must be that the Iranian opposition not feed or ferment this rhetoric and false dogma....for if war happens, the Iranian people have only the IRI to blame for it.....and regardless of any past mistakes the west has made (and I hope HHakimi hears me loud and clear).............. To further feed the regime's rhetoric in this manner would detract from the opposition's effectiveness in motivating the people to rebel and force regime change.

Undestand the regime's tactics clearly on this....I've been trying very hard to make this clear to one and all for some time....now you know why...not from my lips...but from the president's. The regime has played off "the victim card" and divided the opposition that secumbs to that notion.

Divided faith and understanding between those who seek freedom, and those who support your aspirations for it.

I do not say this to "whitewash" history....but now is not the time to have that conversation of the past, nor continue it one day longer...and this must remain the case until the regime is removed.

I say this for the health of the opposition, to meet the threats the IRI poses to you with one voice...one purpose...in strength of unity.

Not for the sake of avoiding history, but to change history that is being made today, and what will be in the future, for the good of all people.
ba sepaas,

Oppie

We should learn from History, avoid future mistakes and create better future.
Can you find anybody without mistake in the world history?

Our First MISTAKE 1400 years ago:
The First Invasion of Iran by Islam: happened approximately 1400 years ago by Arabia's Islamic barbarians, who in the name of God, Brotherhood and Equality, aimed to conquer and plunder.
Our First MISTAKE during Sassanian empire, creation of very class structure society. Second the Clerical class has become very poweful and corrupt, that is why a great Persian army did not have any motivation to fight primitive Arab invaders. We should not forget Persian traitor like Massoud Sad Salman ......

According the book, THE IRANIANS PERSIA, ISLAM AND THE SOUL OF A NATION by Sandra McKay " A tour de force of intellectual comprehension, summary, and balance." -- Washington Times Pg 46.

"Finally on a day in June 637, the Sassanian commander, Rustam, reluctantly opened the battle. But the Saddanian army, like Sassanian society had grown ponderous. With its spirit drained off in the futile campaigns against Byzantium, the famous Persian cataphracts became clumps of fat, immobile men battlin a swarm of wasps. The heavily armed cavalry with its supporting elephants which had punished Romans and Byzantines proved powerless against the Arabs on swift camels who attacked and then withdrew into the desert. Over three days, the two sides engaged. On the fourth, the Persians' reluctant commander, Rustam, died. His army went into pell-mell retreat, leaving the Sassanian Empire open to invasion.
In 638, the vaulted palace at Ctesiphon, the physical embodiment of late Sassanian art and knowledge, fell to the Arabs. Its fabulous prizes dazzled the poor, unlearned tribesmen of the Arabian Peninsula. A life-size camel crafted of silver and a golden horse with emerald teeth and a garland of rubies draped around its neck were only two among the hundreds of objects of art that passed from the cultured hands of the Sassanians into the rough, callused hands of Arab warriors. The incredible carpet, "Spring of Khosrow," went to Mecca where Islam's religious leaders, disdainful of
material posessions, cut it into pieces. The destruction wreaked by the ignorant Arabs went on. The massive libraries so carefully collected by the
Sassanian kings scattered in the capricious wind of the Arab edict:

If the books herein are in accord with Islam,
then we don't need them.
If the books herein are not in accord with Islam,
then they are kafir (of the infidel)
"

dear Cyrus, first of: thaks a whole lot for your hard work and dedications, in keeping the site running as one of the best.

so true we should learn from history, but to learn anything, we first have to admit past mistakes. right? (and I know it goes for everyone! sure)

but even after sept 11, U.S senate in their "fact finding mission" was too chicken to even bring up the very FACT that their own past policies gave rise to islamo-fascism and much more...

it takes guts to bring up your past mistakes, and apparently they haven't got any! so, they make up for it by playing macho, and so, they are bound to make the same mistakes, or worst! just like that.

they've shown in the past that in the lack of any policy, (ie: the lack of U.S. Iran policy or a clear one) they are willing to back the most FASCIST INHUMANE POLICIES of some fractions in the west (EU or else) with NO REGARD FOR THE TERRIBLE CONSEQUENCES THAT MAY BEFALL HUMANITY AS A RESULT (mind you Americans are part of that humanity as we saw in 9/11!) AND HOW IT MAY EMPOWER FORCES OF FASCISM AND TERROR YET AGAIN.
So, pardon me for believing that:

WESTERN POLITICS IS SCARIER THAN ANY SINGLE FORM OF FASCISM, (ie: Islamic terrorism) BECAUSE IT KEEPS REVIVING FASCISM IN DIFFERENT FORMS!

WHEN THIS ONE GOES, YOU CAN BET SOMETHING WORST IS TO REPLACE IT.

AND THAT, IS A HISTORIC LESSON MY FRIEND:

COLONIALIST-Fascism/Terror/Massacres Arrow NATZI-Fascism/Terror/Massacres Arrow COMMUNIST-Fascism/Terror?Massacres Arrow ISLAMIST Fascism/Terror/Massacres Arrow what's next Question

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
oppie, I take it back. just tell'em to admit their past mistakes (in public). that should do!
no appologies needed either, just do it for the sake of future generations

you see dear Cyrus, our mistakes are so out there, and we talk about it till our jaws drop.

but mistakes like Green belt: rise of islamo-fascism with western support, haven't never been spoken, nor examined. only glimps of it here and there in biographies, etc.

Iranians know it and talk about it (only very limited) because we paid the price for it! even then, no one talks about khomeini being on british payroll in Najaf and supported by the EU. and tons of other facts that are being censored and whitewashed.

it's time people review past mistakes in western policies for them. and in a more clear voice to broader audience. as I said for the sake of future generations. and perhaps once it's more out there, they will learn from it, and hopefully wont repeat them again.

I mean, why only put the dictators on stand and spare those who supported him?

it's hypocrite! and that's why saddam will never get to say what he has to say.

think about it: many would'nt want the likes of ayatollahs in stance either!

UNLESS, the truth gets out first! maybe then...

it's also the best way of forcing EU to come aboard.

TRUTH is FEARED LIKE HELL. YET IT IS THE KEY TO FREEDOM! (truth shall set you free!)

We can be hopeful that if some politicians finally found the guts to speak of Freedom, they will soon find the guts to speak the Truth. and let the truth set us all free. once and for all in modern history of fascism after fascism and massacres for money and power after massacrs.

OPEN LETEER By Yari Group of Los Angeles

President George W. Bush

THE IRANIAN SOLOUTION FOR REGIME CHANGE IN IRAN

Dear Mr. President,

Iranian people are all grateful for your support upon this sham imposed selection that regime calls election. However, as you have witnessed through media, the ruling clergy in Iran, with their great disregard for Iranian people is carrying their sinister plans regardless.

Although this time around, three out of six of their own SELECTED candidates cried “fowl play” and justifiably accused the regime in tampering with the ballots and election in order to have “right” President in Iran.

Needless to say this is only a charade to amuse all other countries into believing there is a free democratic system of electing candidates in Iran. Currently for the Friday’s election they have resorted into scare tactic. Finally, they pulled out of hat like rabbit their selected candidate.

In light of above, with the knowledge that, candidates were selected by the guardian council and even at that, were tampering and changing ballots, we must not recognize this election and their selected President as legitimate president of Iran.

The countries of the world, like most of the noble Iranians who have boycotted the election, must not recognize this election nor it’s imposed President on Iranian people.

THE SOULOTION

We recommend that a temporary STEERING COMMITTEE comprised of elected Iranians in exile to be formed in order to plan, assist, and synchronize and co-ordinate the efforts of Iranian people inside of Iran and outside of Iran.

This STEERING COMMITTEE will not have any political affiliation, connection or ties with any particular political groups or individuals. Nor it will promote any particular individual or a political group. It will be on a temporary basis until the political groups and fractions are educated and trained to take over.

Their task will be on advisory position in educating and lending hand to the people of Iran in order to get rid of the current regime and through democratic process elect their own representatives.

In order to form this committee, through media we will ask the Iranian Americans and other Iranians living in exile to recommend professionals who are the pillars in their communities and have impeccable reputation without any political affiliation with any particular groups or organization. They must be unbiased in their thinking and only want the good of Iran regardless of favoring any particular organization.

We have thousands of doctors, attorney’s, university professors, scientists, political strategists, planners and other professional people living in exile. Coming up with a large and workable list will not be hard.

Through that list and series of elections, which unlike the ones being held in Iran by clergy, we will come up with a group of professionals and elders who are qualified to occupy these committee positions, highly respected by all and popular. Creating a single voice for the regime change.

Their job will be planning, education, providing proper information, recommendation, co-ordination and organization of efforts from Iran and outside.

FUNDING FOR THE STEERING COMMITTE

It is obvious such a steering committee without any proper funding will not have any real impact here or inside of Iran.

In light of above, we recommend that by giving an executive order, you release some of the Iranian assets frozen under the President Carter Administration for creation and implementation of such steering committee.

The Iranian Americans and other Iranians in exile have more right to these frozen assets than the corrupt self elected government of Iran has. As you recall, even in his last interview few days ago Mr. Rafsanjani told Christina Amanpour, Chief Foreign Correspondent of CNN, he wants to see these funds released to his future government!

Mr. President, you can release small amount from these assets to fund this committee and really make an impact in changing the regime in Iran.

These assets are not under the control of senate and you can have an executive order to release some it for this sole purpose. This way, there is no burden on American taxpayers and we have used our own money for the regime change in Iran.

The Steering Committee is the only viable solution for us to deal with ruling clergy in Iran. The ruling criminals in Iran have assassinated most of the people who could have been a threat to them as opposition and currently there is no real organized opposition against them. No individual or political organization is strong enough to stand up to and fight them in their own turf.

Please understand many years of research have gone into development of this plan and what you are reading is only an executive summary.

The regime change in Iran must be done with the Iranian hands. By proper election and funding of this steering committee, we will gain the trust and respect of all Iranians. The committee will come up with professional plans, recommendations and means of implementation to be an effective tool to change the regime.

We are here to help in creation of preliminary plans in order for the committee to form and take shape.

Right now this recommended steering committee is our only hope. We are single handed, under funded and divided in our political thinking to be an effective adversary to challenge these well funded murderers that have open coffers to buy anyone or silence any group in order to survive a bit longer.

We are asking for your help to free Iran from the grips of these criminals calling themselves the legitimate government of Iran.

As mentioned, we will be more than happy to meet and discuss our plan, take recommendations from your staff and jointly help put together an effective respected group to start this operation.

Please help us to help ourselves. The key to Iranian regime change is in the hands of Iranians. For doing this, we need your help.

For some of us fighting with the regime is up close and personal. You can imagine the reasons. They have committed horrific crimes against all Iranians and are still continuing. There is no family in Iran who has not lost a family member and their entire livelihood to these people.

Thank you for your kind consideration and God Bless you and the people of this great nation.

Very truly yours,

UK Continues Military Exports to Iran

October 07, 2005
Middle East Newsline
MENL

LONDON -- Despite concern over Iran's nuclear program, Britain continues to approve the export of military and security equipment to the Islamic republic. Officials said the government of Prime Minister Tony Blair has approved the sale of non-lethal military and security equipment to Iran. They said the exports were approved after Teheran pledged not to use the equipment for the military.

"We don't see our concern over the nuclear program as being connected to other Iranian missions which we have seen as vital," a British official said.

In mid-September, the government approved an export of body armor for Iranian security forces. Officials said the armor would be supplied to Iranian forces along the border of Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Yeah Liberty, this is why you don't want to see the Regime fall, you're so twisted up in what you perceive reality to be, you've bought the regime's line hook line and sinker, just like a fish...

They've played you like a bleeding violin, and it's apparent to anyone that reads your diatribes.

The only "proof" you have even aluded to in support of your Green belt conspiracy theory is some obscure paragraph in some unknown biography, this is hardly empirical proof, so why should anyone take you seriously at all?

In fact, your only intended purpose here is to distract from an otherwise useful conversation. Posting deception with no facts to back them up is all you contribute. And it follows the same pattern of deception as the IRI.

This has been noted by myself and others over a long period of time.

I cant help asking these questions.

Who is Yari group? What is their back ground? What ahe they done in the past? Iam not asking thse question to put these people down, not at all! Everyone who is fighting against the regime have my support. However I would like to know who these poeple are since I have never heard of them before!

Second is that they suggest a non-political committee, do you let a dentist operate on your brain? then how can a non-political committee have such a heavy political responsibility?

Just questions that poped up in my mind when I looked at the letter!
