Well, here it is - a list of things about "Persia" (not Iran). Some of these things might surprise you a little:
- Have a government similar to the UK's with an elected parliament but a monarch as well. I'd have 4 different parliaments: economic, social, military, and cultural. The monarch wouldn't have too much power. The citizens would vote on everything - which people joined parliament; the 4 leaders, every new law passed etc. Religion has no influence on politics
- Restoring Persepolis and Parsagadae completely. Having proper tourist facilities in them as well (built in the ancient style, or adopted into some existing buildings)
- Windfarms on the Zagros mountains and giant mirrors and solar panels in cities to power Iran in place of oil. Much less dependancy on oil, for both power and for employment.
- Skroo the Islamic government. Adopt the UDHR instead. No more gender separation. Women get full rights and are allowed in all jobs. Recieve equal or more pay than men. Clothing rules completely gone - only flashing is illegal. Also, a much more just justice system ... girls won't get penalised for being rape victims. Hanging and stoning and torture gone. Prison around. No death sentence. All ethnicities - Kurds, Turks, Indians etc given equal rights.
- Better traffic in Tehran. Traffic lights, etc.
- More Zoroastrian temples, Bahai temples, and Ahmadi mosques. No more Sunni/Shia/Wahabi mosques built. Terrorism completely outlawed. People preaching terrorist messages encarcerated. The government will listen to people if they want change.
- School free and compulsory after the age of 5. Fist people will learn the new Persian (see later), then other subjects. Choice of languages - English, French, Turkish, Urdu and Arabic. Avestan also possible. Long school holiday in beginning March - end April. Others around as well.
- New buildings in all cities built in a style which combines Ancient Persian with Modern Iranian and Indian. Statues of people allowed in places - whether clothed or not (artistic lisence)
- Avestan alphabet, with a few modifications, replaces Arabic alphabet. Arabic words replaced with Pahlavi or Avestan words so we have a completely Persian language.
- A new flag based on a Farohar, except the figure is that of a woman, not a man.
- Like in Britain and Greece, a decorattive military group (like the redcoats outside Buckhingham palace or those guys in the white tunics in greece) - which will be women dressed like the ancient Anusiya. This is, of course, a solely decorative thing. The real army will have mixed regiments.
- Decentralisation ... farming equipment and money given free of charge to the poorer people who live on the land, so they can make a living. Opening facilities in villages etc to start decentralisation.
- Unedited cinemas. Films from all over the world shown, with no resitrictions on what plays. Theatre as well. All those people who have been exiled invited back.
Please feel free to add to the list! |
