write, email, showup, protest, call, fax and let them know what you think about Columbia and a Student Group hosting the representative of the terrorist, Murderous Mullah$ who have killed, tortured, and imprisoned thousands of students, faculty and academics!

Directions: Lerner Hall is the large building on the northeast corner
of 114th and Broadway - the entrance of the building is from the
Columbia University campus, so one needs to come through the small
gates just north of 114th and Broadway, and walk up the side of the
building to the main doors.

On Wednesday, December 6, at 6:30 pm, Toward Reconciliation will
host the Iranian Ambassador to the United Nations, Javad Zarif, in
Lerner Cinema. Following a short speech, Ambassador Zarif will
answer questions from the Columbia community.
Ambassador Zarif has spent a total of twelve years at Iran's
Mission to the UN. Throughout the past two decades, Ambassador
Zarif has played an active role in the United Nations, The
Non-Aligned Movement and the Organization of the Islamic
Conference. Most recently, he was appointed by the UN secretary
General as a member of the group "Eminent Persons on Dialogue among
Civilizations." He has also served as chairman of numerous
commissions, the political committee of the 12th Non-Aligned Summit
in Durban , the OIC High-level committee on Dialogue on disarmament,
human rights, international law and regional conflicts.
"Toward Reconciliation is a non-partisan student organization and
the views/opinions expressed by our speakers do not necessarily
reflect the views/opinions of the organization, its members, or its
executive board. The aim of our Speaker Series is to bring
representatives of foreign governments to the Columbia campus to
discuss international affairs issues and promote dialogue amongst
all world bodies" |
