So wait, is the UN good or evil? It seems that people on this site cannot make their minds up.

Do not confuse a few beaurocrats in a large organization of tens of thousands (mostly humanitarian relief workers of different kinds) with the overall good intentions of the UN staff.

They are not out to hurt Iran or Iranians. A few sleazes are, and they need to be singled out. Don't villianize the whole system.

the concept of the UN is not all that bad.. the bureacrats that run the show have destroyed it and any beneficial aspects of the organization.

The concept of the UN is bad - it's rotten to the core. The purpose of the UN is to create equality among nations, redistributing wealth that it seizes from member countries. COMMUNISM!
Additionally, joining the UN effectively castrates the member country - they have no power to go against the will of the UN. Part of the membership rules state that countries may join the UN as long as they do everything to further the UN's private goals.

They don't call it a "new world order" for nothing.
